anyone know which part of a cr2 controls whether or not the "use spherical fall off zones" for joint editing is greyed out or not i.e i have a figure I want to edit but i can not use the fall off zones.

any help welcomed - thanks

I don't think there's a figure-level, or even actor-level flag for sphere zones in the cr2. The zone information is embedded in the joint listings in the Channels block, in the jointXYZ and twistXYZ listings for each actor, as well as any affector listings for child actors (such as "twistY lShin_twisty").

It sounds like you're using a pre-Poser 8 joint editor. IIRC, once capsule zones, then weight maps, were added, the joint editor format changed.

Does the problem affect more than one actor, or only one? I'm seeing actors without the sphere zone option in Poser 7. In all cases, these are actors which lack joint and twist listings in the cr2 (such as the root actor, like Hip, would lack the option). Such actors only list a joint center when checked in the joint editor.

The attached shows where the sphere zone information can be found, in the cr2.
