Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Nov 27 5:12 pm)
Actually found at the least the reason, but not why that is happening.... My material has a ambientocclusion node. Poser 11 puts it on the start of the shader tree of the material section in the figure. Poser 10 puts it at the end. Now, when i cut and paste that node section to the end of the material section, the problem is gone. I just wonder what this is about?? I now have to touch lots of stuff manually!? weird... anyone ever exprienced that??

Poser 10 user here. This is only a suggesstion, but if I were you, I would drop the material AO completely. I have some props by another vender that were made more or less for Poser 7 and they have material AO on them. They take forEVER to render in P10. I got so annoyed that I went into the materials and deleted the AO from the material.

Maybe a silly suggestion, but did you check the Material Room Simple view before adjusting anything? It might give a clue where that bright magenta colour is coming from. Is there perhaps a PoserSurface hidden behind PoserSurface_2 (in the Advanced view)?

Hi....
i appear to have a problem with materials on objects created in Poser 11. I have created them as usual materials as Superfly and Firefly root (i only use Firefly at this point). They render fine in P11, but when i load the stuff in Poser 10, i get some materials appearing permanent ambient purple. However, in the material room, they look OK. I noticed that the Poser Surface "Name" is called POserSurface_2 not sure if that has any impact? I actually tried saving the material in P11 as MT5 and applying on Poser 10, same problem.
Any idea? this is massivly hindering me getting my newest product out. any help is very welcome!
