Not sure if I'll ever post this, its really just a very quick scene for a buddy at work who allways asked me to do a pic with a chick - aaarmm... woman. Guess my ugly Ogre I did in Lightwave wasn't quite his taste, lol

At the moment you was not sure to post it, you have already posted it. Did you know that ? Anyhow, the lady looks nice. I don't like at all the "sand"; Doesn't look like any thing known. And in seing the position of the hands, the material looks very hard. Have you tried with a sand texture ?

I like the sand texture in that it looks similar to a very rough kind of sand one usually finds inland. But I agree with Guitta that it looks a bit too "hard." Right next to the water, it would be nice to see it smoother, and also wetter (being so near the water line). But hey, for tossing a pin-up together for a buddy, it's pretty good. :)

lol, there is a sand material in Vue? didn't find it, so I created the sand myself:) and as I live in Switzerland, how should I know how sand looks like? ;) Anyhow, how can I make a material softer? Phil (by posting, I meant posting in a gallery:)

Well, for one, you could lessen the Gain on the bump function(s), which will, in turn, lessen the intesity of the bumps. When I first saw this, I really wasn't inclined to complain about the sand though, since something else bothers me about this: The scale...Compared to the apparent scale of the surroundings, the girl looks huge, and I'm going by the density of the atmosphere (mostly), I think, to come to that conclusion. Maybe it is, actually, my eyes wanting to make her look out of scale due to the local surroundings' scale (the terrain),but I don't know. maybe of you added something else of a known size, it would help to set a scale.

My very first VUE render, 30 minutes after installing the program. I had to pose him to "feign" modesty because his thingy wouldn't show up! Just thought your bab.. ummm lady might want some company (even if he has been neutered) ;-)
