Subject: Help with Biscuits hair salon

Hi. I love Biscuits Hair Salon Line but I bought the first set and no matter what I did I couldn't make it work in DS. She uses PMD. I do have some SAV hair with PMD and they load fine so how can I make Biscuits hairs work? I tried saving hairs in poser with external binary unchecked but no joy. They still didn't work :/ I really adore her products and want to support her but if I cant get them to work at all there is no point. Please help!

Usually PMD morphs don't work in D|S without conversion

I will point my DS-user friend to this thread. Maybe she can help you out. :)

I think Dimension3d might have something that could convert pmd to duf. Not certain... but I'd check here and at the other store to see...

The dust settled, thinking "what a fine home, at least for now" not realizing that doom would soon be coming in the form of a vacuum cleaner.

@Jules Its not the duf file. The hair loads like any other poser hair, but the morph sliders dont work. The hair is static.

@Biscuit Hi there :) I really want to solve this cuz I love your hairs.

Seems like quote doesn't work properly Oo

Can you manually change the numbers rather than using the sliders? Here's a link that might help which talks about an earlier version of D/S

@Kazam Thank you for helping me :)
I've tried the method in that article but when I export as a CR2 it asks for a skeleton item. There is no such thing in the hair that I can select so I selected Vicky and it exported her instead of the hair. When I loaded the resaved hair a broken Vicky was there but no hair at all.

I'm not sure why resaving them from Poser didn't work for you. Unless you mean the presets specifically. If you load and save each piece in Poser as a new prop, they should have the morphs in them when loaded in DS. The preset styles will still reference the original files without the morphs in them so they won't work, but the individually saved new pieces should work with the morph dials. Before you save them, make sure the dials work in Poser. I'm wondering if the PMD files weren't in place when you loaded the pieces?

As for exporting as a CR2 item (though I don't think that will work), if it asks for a skeleton, in the scene tab, select the piece, then go up to the little drop down and go to Edit --> Rigging --> Convert Prop to Figure. You can use whatever weight mapping you want to.

Thank you for the help! Okay I deleted previous resaved hairs and started all over again. This time they work Oo They all got the morphs. YAY :D I just have 1 question. How do I resave the presets? Presets load the cap and 5 other hair pieces but I have no clue how to select more than 1 item in poser.

Select the cap, click to save the prop. When the dialog pops up to name it, there's a button that says "Select Subset". Click on that, and you can choose all the pieces to save. Click ok, name it and click ok in the naming dialog and it should save fine for you.

Yeah eventually I figured it out by pressing every button I saw. Thank god the new Unseelie set works fine in DS. Thanks for the help :)
