use Chrome with html5 suppoprted view in 4K my Octane render of Howie Farke's Japanese teagarden spin around with wasd keys if you do not want the video to pause or use your Oculus rift or Samsung VR headset and let me know if that works.

OK some trees missing bits and I substituted the background ones with Merlin's oaks, Octane does that if not full detail mesh but fills my 980TI fast if I do, had to redo textures simpler too,and replaced ocean primitive with a plane to speed it up but most of it is there.

Very nice. I remember being impressed years ago by Quicktime's VR, good to know it can be done in Carrara ... with a few supplemental apps ...

I have done quicktime VR using Gardengnome in the past but these are animated, and you can put figures and action in them as well as panning around. Geisha VR with a not very good DS Optitex dynamic cloth import, they tend to not match up as well as Poser imports.

with Geisha

Travelers PC plants replicated

a mixed lot including animated crowd

Spacejunk

foodstorm

Anderson Hall

I would love to see some by others!

workflow for other Carrara users

render image series to width 3640 height 2160 in engine of choice with spherical camera zoomed out

compile avi in virtualdub, is very slow huge can do 0.5 FPS or less for slideshows if just doing static 360 renders

create mp4 in Handbrake using original size and framerate

use youtube metadata exe to inject 360 metadata save as new file to upload

exe found here

Sorry for my ignorance but what is this 360VR format, is it to show in a planetarium or something else ?

WendyLuvsCatz ( ) posted Tue, 03 May 2016 at 9:51 AM

it could be I suppose with a spherical projector ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ?

but mostly using iPhones and smartphones with google cardboard or if you can afford it Occulus rift, to view it as if you were standing in it. My iPad pans around them in real space using the Youtube app.
