Anyone here familiar with the Archimesh plugin for blender? I have never been able to get an answer to why it behaves badly when you select the advanced options. Only got a reference to it possibly having a compatibility issue with another plugin. I have tried it with various versions of Blender3d. Up to the present version 2.77 and in all I get the exact same issue. Have removed all but the default plugins and reinstalled with no change. Only found one location where it is even sort of currently being discussed. And got no answer there. Is there anyplace that I have missed that might have more answers?

Can't explain the why behind the behaviour but if you tab into edit mode and unify the normals (Ctrl+N) this will correct the issue. Once you tab out back to object mode any further changes you make using the room parameters will mess the mesh up again. Unfortunately you have to keep fixing the normals each time you make a parameter change.

Thank you for the information. It's more than I have gotten in months. Will give it a try and see how it goes.

Tried this out. And it works. Thanks again.
