Welcome to the Virtual World Dynamics Cloth & Hair software forum! I'd like to take a moment to introduce you to Virtual World Dynamics. Check out this amazing software! There are two versions available. Full Version of VWDCloth&Hair Lite Version of VWDCloth&Hair What's even more amazing is all the things that you can make dynamic with VWD.

When I asked him how this game changing software came to fruition, this was his reply.

I have always been fascinated by the simulation of clothes. For many years, I tried many simulators and have always been disappointed with the results. I never managed to get the fluidity that I would have liked. I worked in the numerical simulation development field for many, many years. When I decided to start writing my simulator, I used the methods I knew and the results were similar to other simulators: too much rigidity. One day, while correcting an error in the program, I wrote a method that did not correct my mistake, but gave a great fluidity in the simulation. VWDClothAndHair was born.

Isn't it amazing how a little glitch can turn into a full fledged software idea? VWD is currently working on making VWD Cloth & Hair compatible with other software. Currently, only Poser 9 & up is supported. I hope you all enjoy the VWD forum & this amazing dynamic simulation software.

Have a creative day!

Yes, finally...

Thank you, Renderosity, for creating the new forum, and thank you, 3DFineries, for spearheading this.

So great to have a dedicated place to discuss the VWD Cloth and Hair tool, this will make a big difference to the efforts of both hobbyists and pro users in creating more believable renders!

I hope that the DAZ Studio compatible versions will be discussed here too, along with the bridge software. I don't use Poser but am awaiting VWD for DAZ Studio eagerly.

Thank you 3DFineries and thank you to Renderosity for agreeing the creation of this forum.

For me, the forum will be the best way to explain the functionning of VWD.

Now, it is necessary to create threads that give informations on specificities of the program.

It will be necessary also to create threads for Carrara version, Daz Studio version, and, I hope, for Mac version. I will ask to 3DFineries that she gives me the best way to do so.

Today, I made the first video in French. This video will be translated and spoken in English soon. I suppose this video will surprise users, but it is the simplest way I found to explain the two rigidification methods.

I await your feedback with impatience.

Thank you to everyone who helped me to improve VWD.

 Gérald

Hi folks, it's great the forum is active.

Getting this error; an Access Violation, but my french is very basic. :) Although this seems pretty easy to understand.

I was trying to close VWD. Incidentally it's via the Daz plugin that I'm betaing, so not sure if related to that, but doubt it.

Hi Writers_Block,

I have encountered that error a few times, and were based on different operations and settings variables. Please, try to document what you were doing that led to that error including any variables you can think of. I am beta-ing alongside you, so I will try to see if the bridge is a catalyst when closing. Did you notice if VWD is still open as a process (Task Manager), or still loaded in memory, even though it shows as closed? I get these hangs once in a while as well.

I created a new thread where we all can discuss errors, and try to help out others.

3DFineries, would you, please, transfer Writers_Block's post to that thread (and possibly this one). Thank you.

DaremoK3, Can't transfer them between threads, but I did quote them both for you in that thread! 3DFineries

It remains open, and I have to kill it with task manager; I don't always get it. I'm trying to see what I'm doing when it happens and if it is consistent; only just got VWD, so learning that as well. Fun times. :)

For starting of the Forum, I have created a promo of 20% for the two versions.

Just to be clear - the versions at Rendo will only work with Poser (the product description says Poser 9+) - is that correct? Will there be a separate version which will work with the DAZ Studio bridge script? And, if so, will they be sold only at DAZ?

VirtualWorldDynamics ( ) posted Thu, 26 May 2016 at 2:11 AM

Yes, the version I sell at Renderosity is only for Poser. Personally I don't sell versions for Carrara or Daz Studio. These versions will be sold by Philemot. All these versions will certainly be sold at Renderosity and at Daz3D. For my part, VWD for Poser, the price will be a bit more expensive at Daz because the percentage is higher.

OK, thanks. DAZ usually has an introductory discount for new products (I have PC+ membership at the moment) so I hope that will be the case. Otherwise I could always buy from Rendo if the price is lower. I saw the same thing with Reality which has DAZ Studio and Poser versions and is sold via DAZ, Renderosity and by Paolo (the developer) himself. I actually bought from his site which tended to get updates quicker than the big stores.
