On the face of it, stories are not allowed?
Stories are always welcome. The two contests referred to in this post are visual arts contests. The current writing activity is posted in another thread, and I see you posted to it, very good post too, great job. There are new challenges posted all the time. I had weekly challenges for awhile until interest dropped off, and Wheatpenny posted monthly challenges for years but there was almost no interest in formal challenges. You are welcome to post stories in the Writers Gallery or the Writers Forum anytime you like. We had the character count increased to 50k so you could write full short stories. If you have an ideas for an exclusive writers contest or challenge, we would be most interested in hearing it, just let us know what you would be interested in doing.
