Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Jan 11 12:18 am)
Hi Jules,
Thanks you for the response. The "Preserve Existing Material" option is checked when I export.obj file. This is really driving me round the bend (so to speak)....nd just cant figure out how to resolve the issue.... Perhaps need to re-install the Poser 2014? I do have Poser Pro 11 too but I am holding back until most known bugs are fixed...
Can you please confirm which version of Poser you are using.
Thanks again...

Reality Could be an issue ... and there could be a bug involved as Clark implies. You might want to open a ticket at Smith Micro on this issue ... after checking the Reality part of it. Any time you use a plug-in or third-party add-on there is a risk. Good luck and please let us know how this is going for others with similar problems.

Hi,
After exporting a character (in this case M3) as and .obj file, when I import the file back into Poser Pro 2014, the materials do not get imported (please see attached image).
This used to work in Poser 9 and can't figure out what the issue is! Hence looking at our poser Experts for their advice.... :c)
Thank you
