Hello, Where can I find downloads of socks for poser model. Poser 4 only comes with one pair of socks each for the male and female models. I want different ones and different types. Thanks

...creating different color-, bump- and transparency maps for the socks that you have? You could come up with at least a hundred different varietys :-) HTH, sincerely, Sabine

Have you looked at the back of the drier? There is always one there in this household. Maybe the virtual world is similar?

...Phil, washing machines eat socks. If you put 10 pairs of socks into a washing machine, there will definitely come out only 8 pairs, three more completely different single socks and one sock will (at least) always be missing. If you put the socks into a drier after washing, the 8 complete pairs will turn into 6 pairs and 4 completely single socks, and from the three different socks two will turn into a perfect matching pair and the third will disappear, because driers also eat socks. This is not the way to find socks, this is a perfect way to loose socks. Cheers :-) Sabine

Actually it is the 'Sock Nomes'! These wee-folk that hide in the shadows and in the lint catch (they collect lint too!) -> did you all miss the Nation Geogrphic's show on these guys??

Thought there was something like a "black hole" in my wasching maschine.A way to different dimensions or time...

What the. This is only the second time Ive posted in Renderosity and you guys are scaring me. Besides it was the elves. But seriously, Sabine thanks for the tip on bump and texturing, but isnt there any different ones? Hmm how can I put this, ahh yes the poser socks looks kinda wired with the hump or bump on the toes, proper socks would show the shape or outlines of the toes. What about socks where you can fold the upper part down. Or socks which goes up to the knees. Or sock that are rolled down to the ankle forming like a ball. Are there none out there? Thanks for sharing. Mike

oh so it's not only the Finnish washing machines that eat socks. I'm relieved :-)

Sorry mikeposer, I have seen a lot of creativity using the default Poser socks like Kalypo's leather warrior boots and long ago I think I saw someone make a set of transparancies to make them into "bobby socks", but as for 'actual models' I don't belive I have ever seen any but the ones that come with Poser. And I still say it's the Sock Nomes, I've seen them!!

There is a pair of "loose socks" here :) http://twosword.omosiro.com/

I've always been under the impression that socks were the larval stage of wire coat hangers.. as I used to have many pairs of socks.. and no wire coathangers but the ratio seems toe be shifting considerably.. there's an abnormally high number of Wire coathangers in my closets.. and I neither purchase them nor send out to the drycleaners.. ergo there's no reason they should be there.. curious na? I say a bobby sox style sock.. but I believe it was constructed of a "standard pair" and a pair of torii.. with transmaps... shrug

Fyrene has mentioned where to get the "loose socks". I think there is another pair, by Iso on one of the Japanese sites? Some of the low shoes (elf boots) can be turned into socks (I'm thinking of the kind of sport socks which usd to have bobbles at the back). Jon of PoserGamers has some wonderful medieval characters. You can take hose and use a transmap on the top to get a pair of silk socks suitable for a businessman. Carolly

There you see, theres lots of shirts, pants, shoes etc but not many socks. I think I have only found 2 downloads on the net for different type/model socks, loose socks and knee hight socks. Thanks for sharing.
