I'm curious about what we'll see too. I think we may see some things where there's a crowd of objects and there's a different object in the middle or maybe we'll see some objects of the same color and there's one object of a different color amongst them. The possibilities are endless for this unusual subject. Warm greetings to you too!

It was by surprise, that yesterday I discovered this picture, it's in the Unusual subject gallery now. And I really thought: Ah, this bee is for sure searching for 'the needle in a haystack'. Looking for The Needle in a Haystack
I love your photo Jacomina, it goes with the subject perfectly! Thank you for adding it to the gallery! That bee is definitely searching for a needle in a haystack. I hope it found a big pot of gold pollen. lol

I love this photo too Jacomina! You're right, this bug is definitely looking for its needle in a haystack. I'm getting the itchies just thinking about it stinging me or somebody else. lol

Haha, I can imagine you feel the itches, Deenesia. It seems that, if you see someone scratching themselves, it's literally contagious. Well, I prefere a contagious laugh.
btw, One of the first hornets which I crossed, it kept coming years in succession a bump and itching up. So, there could be nasty bitches among them. Although they look so nice, huh? Wishing you a nice week, my friend.
I prefer a contagious laugh too. You're right, there may be more pretty but pesky hornets out there. lol I hope you have a nice week too Jacomina!

Hello Denesia, just something to share.
Today I was in the hospital, I had a scan of my chest. The nice doctor and his lab kept going around with their scanner while they watched on the monitor. At first I was asking him, if that means something specific that he stayed so long continue searching; in which I said that I had to laugh, and I told him about our unusual October subject: searching for a needle in a haystack, what they found so funny.
A while later, the doctor said, I found a small needle. Anyway, looking at the monitor, they said that there was indeed something to make art out of that.
Unfortunately I could not take pictures of the investigation. Haha, let me not think about that LOL. But if, I had a good image to do an upload with.
Jacomina, now you have doctors looking for a needle in a haystack. lol I like this challenge, because it can go hand in hand with your everyday life. You may not see the subject everyday, but there may be one day where you do see it and you decide to take a photo of it. I hope your needle in a haystack turns out to be a minor thing. I hope you're feeling well and having a great weekend!
Christian, I love your images and their different color variations! It looks like those insects are really busy in those haystacks. lol You will definitely be seeing something from me. I'm going to take a photo this time. I just need to find a needle in a haystack now. lol I hope you're having a great weekend too!

LOL, Denesia, indeed, this item is just a part of my life, ha, ha!
Last Friday I had to again think of it, when I was on my half yearly audit to my dentist, but fortunately, he found no needle, my teeth are perfect, so SMILE .
And here another photo taken in our garden.
lol Needle in a haystack is a gift that keeps giving. lol I'm happy your teeth are in excellent condition! I love your photo! I think these butterflies and insects must know something we don't know, there must be a pretty good needle in these haystacks. lol

I love your photo Christian! I found the needle, it's the little bird in the tree.
I messed up my needle in the haystack photo by eating my needle in the haystack. lol Some nights ago, I was thinking when the Halloween candy gets down to one left of a certain kind amongst all the other candy that's when I'll take a photo and that can be my needle in the haystack. Well today I got a craving for some 3 Musketeers candy bars and I got the last two and ate them and then I realized I messed everything up. Maybe there's one 3 Musketeers candy bar floating somewhere in the bowl. lol

Ah, sweet candy girl, Deenamic On my desk there are still three images for this topic.
They really are not something special, but I drop them here, to clean my desktop; haha which is like my head: "a mess".
Hoping all is well, my friend(*s).
This last one was high in the sky, on top of our lamppost. Maybe I'll put another photo of those two handsome men, so you can see the total action.
I love your photos Jacomina! It looks like someone or some animal is looking for a needle in a haystack everyday. lol I was looking for a bill for my parents today and just realized I was looking for needle in a haystack too. lol I'm happy you decided to clean your desktop and share the images you found with us! I can't wait to see what you capture for this month's unusual subject.

Hi Jacomina! I found the bill and saved the day. lol I love your photo! Even though I'm looking at buttons, it's making me think about needles and how you're going to sew them back onto a shirt. lol Is the clue some string that should be connected to a needle?

Oh cool! It would be hard to find the shape and color of button you wanted in that pile of buttons. I wouldn't want to sew all those buttons either, just trying to thread the needle is a chore. lol

Yes, yes, so it is, Denesia, you should see me fidgeting in my attempt in order to get that job done.
It's not really lomography but comes close...I found an old drugstore kiosk cd of photos and discovered it contained photos from a years ago photo forum challenge to shoot up a "ONE USE" film camera. The idea was to get the best you could with the low tech and limitations of these cameras. That meant reliance on subject and composition while learning the limits of the camera. I was surprised at the decent compo of several images, even if color was like fugi on steroids and the occasional light leak and flare added to the lomo look. If you have not done this "exercise", consider giving it a try. You will learn something about your personal eye for composition in camera. TomDart, aka Thomas Haynes
I love your photo alida! He or she is a bright needle in a haystack.
