I strongly suggest Poser Pro 11. There are those who prefer DAZ Studio. Each program has its functional pros and cons and I suggest you do research because there can be quite a heated conflict between those who favor one program over the other and make your decision based on that rather than people's bias. Please anyone answering this thread keep software politics out of this. It will help no one.

I don’t use DS much so some of what I say is hearsay. Poser Pros: Has native dynamics (hair, cloth, bullet physics) Comes with lots of content (most you probably already have coming from 2012) Has a familiar interface (since you already use 2012)
Cons: Costs money Can’t use genesis without hoops (a lot of new content is for this figure) Seems to be a lull in content making currently (not saying no one is making it, just that it’s slowed)
Daz Studio Pros: Is free Comes with free content (don’t know how much) Has Iray rendering Can use genesis 7 without hoops It handles scenes with large amount of polygons better, don’t slow as much (this is what I was told I don’t use DS)
Cons: The interface is quite different that what you’re used to. (it is customizable but I don’t know by how much) No native dynamics (extra cost) Any weight mapped figures you have from poser aren’t useable
Since DS is free, download it and try it out. If you like it better, go with that. If you don’t, you can always take it off.
Available on Amazon for the Kindle E-Reader Monster of the North and The Shimmering Mage

I have poser pro 2012. Should I be looking to purchase 2014 or Daz studio? Which is the best one to own???
