Subject: Reduce Polygons

Okay so I'm using Poser 11 Pro, I go to reduce polygons of a figure and the program crashes. Happens every time. Any thoughts? I'm trying to reduce a Genesis character to LOW polygons to give it an early computer system look.

Tried different methods and have the same crashing problem. Obviously it is not working within Poser. Perhaps try exporting a cr2 from DAZ3D to Poser.

I think DSON and Poser just aren't happy together. The earlier Daz models work fine, in my experience. Reducing a character like Aiko 3 or Hiro 3 would definitely give you an early computer system look.

Or for what you want, the best buy might be Daz's 3D Starter Pack, which has reduced resolution versions of several older figures that you could further reduce.

I actually did export the cr2 originally. And unfortunately I can't use another character due to the project I'm working on I HAS to be this Genesis character I use. I know it all sounds crazy lol... but within the project it makes sense. May just have to look at another method to get the old school look.

Thanks for the ideas and help.

Quick question: you are disabling the subD on Genesis once imported? Genesis is already at a low poly without subD. So you want to reduce the polys further?

I have taken the SubD off. And yes I do want to reduce more... what I'm tryin' to get is the old school look of computer graphics... blocky... original Tron kinda look.
