Does the chat room work? I can go there but whenever I do there is no one there.

It works however it is always empty as there are some plans to try and get more activity in there after the first of the year.

the problem is, a rather persistant troll. so the regulars, myself included moved on.

how persistant? he's actually waited out the period for new users that was put into stop him, to troll again! this is not usual troll behavour. I suspect strongly it's someone with a grudge against the site somehow.

anyway thanks to him, the chat is dead and you should shut it down. the trust is lost and the regulars won't return to it.

Yeah, would be fun to be able to use it again, but....trolls ;) Plus I don't normally go in if I can't see who's in there first, like we used to.

I'm not sure what Miss Manners would say, but I see no reason to be polite to trolls. Why bother saying anything? Just close the window.

Said troll has been a problem for a VERY long time. I miss Rendo chat and would love to return but I haven't the patience to deal with the unrest the troll causes.
