Subject: Question for mac users with trackpad

DocMatter ( ) posted Thu, 22 December 2016 at 4:02 PM · edited Wed, 09 October 2024 at 1:45 PM

I've been using Poser 11 for a couple of months now with a new Mac and I' using the trackpad (don't like the mouse and really like the trackpads movements better). But for the last couple of days, when I click on a figures body part to select it, it rotates several degrees. I'm just clicking on it and nothing else. Has this happened to anyone else? It's not an end of the world problem, but its a pain.

Yes if I have the direct manipulation or translate/pull tool selected whatever I select moves slightly (and I have to Cmd+Z to get it back. If I have the select tool (the first one) selected then nothing moves. Also I use the trackpad for almost everything but I still find I need a mouse for working with 3d. esp when doing fine movements. Or a wacom but I rarely get that out these days.

Hmmm... I'll have to check into that. Even though I don't usually select that tool, it seems to like to default to it. Thanks!

Your welcome. I heve not been able to figure out how to change the default on opening. I tried looking in the preferred state xml and the poser preferences file but I could not find a way to change Poser Editing tools default opening from translate/pull tool to select tool. It is a little quirk. Would be nice to be able to change if anyone else knows how.
