Subject: Poser 11/Poser 11 Pro: Bug Reports

Additional information re sluggish response:

There is a problem when selecting body parts - with, say, V4 in the scene and body selected, then selecting 'head' from the body parts list, there is a distinct delay before the word 'head' appears above its parameter list; it used to be almost instantaneous.

Going from 'body' to 'head' for example, this morning, took 3 seconds; from 'head' to 'right collar' needed 7 seconds; adding a jacket and repeating these choices increased some times, the longest delay being 11 seconds. Adding M4, clothed, to the scene also produced delays of over 10 seconds between choosing a body part and the name of that body part appearing above the parameter dials.

This needs to be fixed.

Deactivated and reinstalled Poser on external drive and upgraded it to SR5. Poser working normally. The problem therefore looks like SR6 and my iMac ...

Is anyone else having this problem with the morph tool?

When I make a stroke with the tool, all morphs on the geometry turn off...but just for the duration of the stroke...then they turn back on, with the additional result of the stroke. This means I can't see what the stroke is doing until I'm finished applying it. It makes the tool nearly impossible to use.

I'm running 11.0.5.32974 on Windows 7 SP1 (fully updated) and my video card is an nVidia GForce GTX 1060 with driver version 21.21.13.7586.

Any clue would be helpful as I'm tired of having to go back to Poser Pro GameDev to do all my morphing.

Looks like the latest update took care of my problem.

I'd rather stay in my lane than lay in my stain!

I have poser 11 (on my mac) and it has problems a lot. Sometimes it will just stop doing things, like I will try to adjust some parameters or add a material to something and nothing happens. Each time I have to close to program and restart. Sometimes it will even just crash. Like the program just turns off before I can save anything. Is anyone else having problems like this?

This is not the first time Poser has released an updated version and not fixed the bugs. Poser11 should work out of the box so to speak. No library is probably a major fault for any program like this. Someone needs to actually test this stuff before fobbing it off on the user. And no I don't want to hear about that's always been the case its just down right sloppy!

Does anyone else have a problem with Poser 11 and the fast preview mode? Everytime I try to use it, it crashes Poser....

I've had this happening with a couple of Poser scenes (.pz3) made in PP2014.

I didn't find out what was causing it, but I found a work-around:

  • Load the scene in question
  • Do >not make any modifications<, and best keep your hands off the mouse and other controls all the time...
  • Now save the scene by a different name
  • Close Poser, then restart it and load your previously saved (new) scene.

Unfortunately I didn't have neither time nor motivation to solve this glitch because the work-around was all I needed.

And, I'm no paid dev team member, so it's not >my< job to solve this, but >theirs<.

Poser 11.3 seems to be getting slower on my iMac. Loads the basic scene in reasonable time, but takes its time to get it to load a figure or a prop. iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, Mid 2015), 32Gb ram, AMD Radeon R9 M 290 2Gb. 1Tb hard drive.
