Ah, what an original theme, Denesia, with many opportunities to interpret. Here is a saying in the Netherlands: "shatter bring good luck". So, good luck everyone.

Jacomina, I'm happy you like the theme and I'm also happy you found the challenge. I was wondering if I should let members know in the photography forum that the challenge has been moved to this forum. It seems like you found it easily, so maybe they'll know to come here too. "Shatter bring good luck." sounds like a great phrase for the new year. We all need to start off the new year with some good luck. I can't wait to see what everyone creates for this subject. I promise I will enter an image this month. lol :)

I've no idea why other photographers don't react here, I got an e-bot with the words: "Deenamic has posted to the photo forum", and underneath: "click here to visit the forum". As simple as that for me. btw,

If it could be realized so easily with just one "click", I have yet some wishes in this respect for the new year, lol.

I don't plan on smashing anything, but I think I'm going to find something that's already smashed. lol I'm thinking about doing a mixed medium artwork and using a broken glass photo or Photoshop brush in it. Are you having thoughts about smashing something? lol

Yes, I have thought to break something, really, Denesia! And I'm going to do it, but first it must not freeze any more. Haha, now you're curious, huh? A hint, it has to do with plants. Your ideas sound absolutely amazing. A lot of fun by doing so, my friend! Underneath I put some images, just for fun, I don't know if they are that well for the topic, anyway you have the first public announcement, LOL.

lol I'm happy I got the first public announcement. lol You have me curious, I can't wait to see what you do with the plants. I love the photos you posted, they definitely go with this month's subject. Some days ago, I decided to buy some more broken glass Photoshop brushes and I accidentally got them mixed up with some Photoshop brushes of cracked and chipped textures. I may go ahead and use them. I don't know what my image is going to look like, but I think it's going to surprise me in the end. lol I hope your week is off to an amazing start!

Oh dear, this sounds GOOD, with all the broken stuff "in your head" to gonna mix it around, Deenesia. I had the idea that it must be a photo, so how you will fix that, I'm so curious???!!! I remember a broken deliverence from a netshop (a bowl). :-) Didnt bother complain... too much waste of my good time it wasnt so expensive. All the other stuff was ok.

Helle, I love your photo, it is definitely broken and shattered! It's hard to tell those online stores when something is shipped to you broken. They always think you must have done something to it when you didn't. One time I ordered several flat round glass candle holders for an event and I was scared they were going to come here broken, but thank goodness they didn't, I was going to break down crying if they did. lol It looks like your bowl would have been a nice bowl to look at and use.

Jacomina, now that this challenge is in the Challenge Arena Forum, you can use whatever genre you want to create your image, you can take a photo, create a 3D image, create a Photoshop image, or etc. I'll be on the lookout for the broken and shattered item you found during your walk. I wish you whimsical week wishes! lol

Good they were not broken, your glass cantle holders. What a relief, but this bowl wasnt very expensive, about 10 dollars, so not worth use time for complainings... makes me too tires. I began, but then the transport company said I had to go to the shop, and the shop wrote on their homepage to complain to the transporter SIGH! I Gave up pretty fast. They just wash their hands and dont care.

Ok, I was searching for an image, I made years back, but I didnt find it. TSK ! So I tried to make a new one. Framed it and then... accidently I broke the glass. ;-)

I've finished my broken and shattered image in the nick of time. lol I used one of LPR001's music images and I combined it with some Pixabay photos and textures and this is the broken and shattered image I came out with.

I ended up not using the broken glass brushes I bought, they weren't giving me the broken glass effect I wanted, so by chance I found that door frame with a broken pane of glass in it and I decided to use that. I went from oh no what am I going to do to yes I can make this work. lol

Yes you can, Deenesia!!! Wow what a wild broken image you come up with. Even the voice of the pop star is broken, right? Or is this not an usual saying in English. And it is a German wall. Would it be THAT German wall, which was broken in 1989? I think so. How good of you to use it here, my friend. It's amazing.

Thank you Jacomina, you brought more meaning to my image! I think I've heard that saying before about the voice of the pop star. Yeah, that is German writing on the wall. Before I use a photo with graffiti in it, I try to make sure the words on the wall aren't insulting, so I typed the word bier from the wall into Google's translator and it said bier means beer and I was like okay, this is going to be okay to use. lol I hope you have a nice day or night too!

I guess I wasn't getting any ebots. I didn't know you all were talking in here. lol The bears do look like they've been broken and shattered and patched up a lot of times, but they're still kicking. lol February got away from me. I promise I will start a new unusual subjects challenge in March, unless you all think we can come up with an image or photo to a subject in seven days, that would definitely be a challenge. lol
