Subject: Gah... tempted to buy Dina...

Eowyn ( ) posted Sat, 13 October 2001 at 12:31 PM · edited Sun, 02 February 2025 at 3:49 AM

I don't like Dina. But... having seen a dozen threads about her with all those images in which she usually looks like a guy wearing make-up... I find myself tempted to buy her just so I could try morphing her face. I enjoy making morphs like you can probably notice if you look at my store :-) Now... for me $30 is a lot of money. Think I should go for it?

I would say yes... she seems to be a booming new market, some good morphs for her would probably be a good item to sell.

That's exactly what I was going to say too... Eowyn, if you managed to morph her face into what more people would consider "beautiful" you could easily sell a package of morphs... it's a pretty open field right now, but I have a feeling a lot of people are thinking the same thing, so best to get your foot in the door now... you have one other thing going for you too though, people already know who you are, and that your work is good, they'd be more comfortable buying a morph pack from you than maybe someone they've never heard of... my two cents.

"Download information will be sent to your Billing Email Address when your payment is verified." I sure hope that doesn't mean I won't get Dina until Monday :( I'm going abroad next week, I want to play with her before that... boohoo... weep... sniffle...

Why i should buy a product if i must change it ,using morphs, for having it enough good for use?May be DSI need to reworks the original mesh before selling it !Just a suggestion

shadowcat ( ) posted Sat, 13 October 2001 at 7:44 PM

I was also tempted to buy her just to see if I could make some good facial morphs. But I haven't gotten into the "sell stuff" thing yet. Basically my outlook is if I wouldn't want to buy it then I won't sell it, and I haven't done anything that I would be willing to buy. Also I don't want to buy anything that I'm not going to use (I've done that enough already) And to be honest I don't think my little machine has the power to handle that many polys.

Krel ( ) posted Sun, 14 October 2001 at 7:47 AM

Hey Martial, I don't want to offend you but couldn't you say the same about the standard P4 Female? As she comes she is just acceptable, you need to apply morphs to get something more "useable" (depending on one's definition)....I just got Dina and am confident that eventually morphs will be made. I've been using Poser since version 2 and I've gotta tell you that the figures even in Poser 3 really needed help. I think we take for granted all of the fine (and free) morphs that have been made by people like Traveler. Some users new to the scene may believe that these were made available overnight. That's not the case; I've watched this product evolve for about three years now and morphs take time to create. Dina is superior to the P4 female OR Vicky (she looks like a guy too, but at least Dina has genitals so you can tell the difference!!! LOL)....... Just My Opinion Krel

Actually, playing with morphs is what I like about Dina :). If you seen some of the images by Mazak and others, she's rather versitile for as few morphs as she has and she takes better to body part scaling than any other figure I've ever used. This is my version of Dina (among many) scaled like crazy from her original body part dimensions. Yes, she looks VERY different from Vicky, but that's what I LIKE about her. And Vicky didn't have as many morphs as she has overnight...Dina's only been out for about 3 weeks. :) Laurie
