Subject: Question Regarding this forum?

Irish ( ) posted Sat, 13 October 2001 at 2:14 PM · edited Thu, 07 November 2024 at 4:15 PM

I am wondering why when I post a message, it never gets any responses? The last three messages I have written here have all been unanswered. This can only lead me to one conclusion and I sure hope it is the wrong conclusion. My last message was on behalf of a person who has made a beautiful morph package for the Millenium Kids. I am not asking you to buy it, but merely to acknowledge this person's talents. She happens to be German and does not write English well and asked me to help her. I just had to get this off my chest because the lack of response to messages bothers me. And not just my own, but I see others here where people write and ask for assistance or for you to look at something. I realize that everyone is busy with their own graphics but a little kindness goes a long long way. Thanks, Irene

I'm sure it was nothing personal. I went back and looked at your postings for the last month. I found two. I saw you made a post announcing a prop for freestuff. I know how you feel though. I think that most of the time when you make a contribution it has to first of all be for yourself. I wrote a couple of tutorials in July and they have been viewed over 1000 times, not bad... But when I initially posted to this forum I received very little in the way of response. Just hang in there.

Thanks for the responses! Guess I was just feeling a teesy bit down. You do need encouragement once in awhile so I appreciate what you have said. Now back to the drawing board... Irene

No problem, we all need encouragement and it is good that you brought it to our attention. That is why we are here. Sharen

ditto, and I don't always open the ones where someone says please have a look at something or other, just because I could be short on time... I sometimes don't get answers either...don't take it personally, it happens. Just keep asking!

Heck, I'm around here quite a bit and rarely get many responses :o)

You usually get more responses from people here if you are in trouble, and need help. If you post a message that something is available. Lots of people will go check it out. But few will take the time to reply to your message. Even I'm guilty of that (sorry). On the upside of things. I'm very proud of how people here trip over themselves to help out when one of our members needs assistance. ScottA
