what about under water gravity?
or i guess it would be water friction instead of air friction?
thinking of mermaid hair.
can't find a mermaid moji

Live Long and Prosper
See, I am greedy, I like that I have all of them in one program! I like the multi-pass layering (it simplifies postwork so much!) The only thing I am missing is the ability to use IRAY (or comparable renderer with it), but that's only because I haven't yet bought Octane, I guess. There are some features that could benefit from improvement, but I like most of the ones already there a lot!
My main interest is animation, which Carrara does very nicely and can be very fast with standard settings (10 sec/frame or less). Direct support for Poser content (loads from Carrara's browser) and better than Poser for animation. Also Non-Linear Animation (NLA) with clips saved, including imported AniMate mocaps. A good timeline in the sequencer with lots of control of everything. Etc. An example that some people like:

what about under water gravity?
Record your simulation with more images per second or slow down the speed in an other software (AE, Premiere...) but I prefer extend the keyframes in the timeline in Carrara or reduce the gravity of the scene (about 3 rather than 9,8) during the hair or clothe simulation.

Carrara has so many features I love but LIGHTS would be high on the list of my favourites. You can create some really interesting special effects such as lasers. Experiments are endless.as there are a great many attributes you can apply or animate. My wish list would be for "Realistic Ocean " although you can make some interesting looking waves with a terrain and using the special shaders from the shader room then animating the terrain with a wave modifier. The orca ocean plugin helps with floating objects. By the way "Animators " dont forget to check out CarraraTors forum Heaps of information here on animation and other stuff.
hair
picked up that Shaitan Cave beast today for $3.50 and a bit of hair makes him an irish wolfhound
