Can anyone tell me what is Daz's genesis and how does it work

Genesis is a version of DAZ 3D's very popular female figure. Genesis was both male and Female, tho. She was released with an earlier version of DAZ Studio, but may no longer be available. She will work in Poser when DSON is installed and correctly configured. Genesis 2 came in separate Male and Female versions and also requires DSON to work in Poser. Genesis 3 is the current version and she does NOT work in Poser even with DSON. A pair of Renderosity Artists have overcome this shortfall.

She works just like Victoria 4 in Poser, but it takes more work (You have to find and install DSON And have a DS library), and there are far fewer articles of clothing/shoes/hair for her. Genesis 2 was more popular than Genesis. More items are available to support her.

Yes, I keep saying her as if there were no male counterpart. The males get very little support.

I have Poser 11 and was using it fine until I installed Daz Studio, because I wanted to try to G3 girls, some of which are worth working on with a view to using them in Poser 11 (fat chance)! lol Now there are files missing and also hair files if I open an existing pz3. The position of my main runtime remains the same but it's asking for UV SETS in Victoria6.dsf for example. I have tried using a G2 character but have not installed Victoria 6. Just cannot get my head around it right now. HELP!

In order to use GTWOf in Poser you need to use DSON, a program form DAZ.

you have to install DS and Map your DS runtime to Poser 11.

Does this help?
