Subject: ShareCG becoming a Marketplace. A Competitor ? So are ShareCG links banned?

I've been mostly out of touch here for quite a while.

I recall that there was basically a blanket ban on links to offsite freebies when I left.

Since then I think I saw something saying that links to non-competing marketplaces were allowed again, which allowed links to ShareCG freebies.

But now ShareCG is apparently selling stuff. So I'm assuming that links to ShareCG freebies are banned again.

Is that correct ?

The 3Dcheapskate* occasionally posts sensible stuff. Usually by accident.
And it usually uses Poser 11, with units set to inches. Except when it's using Poser 6 or PP2014, or when its units are set to PNU.

*also available in ShareCG, DAZ, and HiveWire3D flavours (the DeviantArt and CGBytes flavour have been discontinued).

If ShareCG is going commercial ... then only as an answer to a request could be linked to the site. We have lightened our site ban a bit ... it has a lot to do with what commercial products are sold and how the link is presented.

Thanks. I also just checked via FreeStuff > FS Home > Upload FreeStuff > FreeStuff Upload Guidelines which includes the statements that "Links in Details Section: Text links {not banner ads} are allowed also in the details section, but the link can only lead to the specific item being offered..it cannot lead to your personal website freestuff pages." and "We have the Freestuff Forum here for the exact purpose of placing links to your's or others freestuff items offsite..this is where you may place links to your own personal freestuff pages."

That seems fairly clear to me. Perhaps it's time to post to the FreeStuff forum here again ?

So I'm certain that from the FreeStuff forum I can link to a specific freestuff item of mine that's hosted at ShareCG (or on my own website).

But am I allowed to post a link to my ShareCG freestuff gallery - i.e. the page that shows all my freestuff over there?
