Outlaw 3D wrote a script and has some instruction on how to best achieve importing from Poser into Blender it might sound like allot to do but it is perhaps the easiest way to do it and you will need to do some manual tweaking to get the best look http://3doutlaw.com/home/?page_id=631 when you get to the page scroll down and look for Poser OBJ Export to Cycles and he has link there for the instructions
Good Luck

Thank you for reaching out to me Lobo3433, I really appreciate it. I've spent several hours trying to get the Teleblender and 3doutlaw scripts to work but unfortunately I still seem to be running into some issues. The Teleblender script seems to be written primarily for Daz studio so the installation instructions aren't much help for a newbie like myself. I'm assuming I should install it to the scripts menu, which I did and it shows up in the script menu but it does not seem to do anything when I select it. I did manage to get the 3doutlaw script to show up in the scripts menu as well and it seems to run as intended. So my current dilemma is that when I'm in Poser I then load a figure and apply a texture. When I then run the 3doutlaw script everything seems to be working fine and Blender then opens as it should but, Blender only loads an empty scene. Only a lamp and camera seem to load, nothing from Poser. Did I possibly install the Teleblender Script incorrectly? Also on the Teleblender page they provide a mcjBlenderBot2.zip file which is to be installed to the blenderscriptsmodules file which I have done as well. Any thoughts on how I'm screwing this up?
Thank you!!
Yes the teleblender script is for daz but there is if I recall a set of instructions for Carrara that more resembles how to set up for Poser plus if I also recall there was a note about having to change texture direction or gamma setting there is an old thread here in our forum that discusses this and has more info found the link glad I keep most of these saved be we discussed this process and there was some good input that might help but do remember some of the info is a bit dated https://www.renderosity.com/mod/forumpro/?thread_id=2874765 I do hope this helps some more

That thread was very helpful Lobo3433. The texture files were going into a sub folder in the folder holding the .dae .mtl and .obj files. Once I moved them and then ran the carrera script everything finally worked. Thank you so much for the help Lobo3433, I ended up not using the 3doutlaw script and just did it as you described in the above post.
I am glad it worked out I know it is a topic that comes up often so I made sure I added that link to the Tips and tricks thread

Currently I'm trying to import a Daz3d figure from PoserPro to Blender. From poser I export the figure as an OBJ file and save it to a folder. When doing this the character saves as two files. One is an OBJ file and the other saves as a MTL file. When I enter Blender I import the OBJ file and the figure appears to load fine just with no textures. I switch over to textured view and still the textures do not show up, everything just turns bright pink as if there are no textures at all. Is it possible for me to transfer textures between Blender and Poser? Are there any experienced Blender and Poser users that have come across this issue or would be willing to share any insight?
Thank you so much!
