Subject: HOW CAN I MOVE V4 FROM DAZ TO POSER 10

TungdilGoldhand ( ) posted Sat, 12 August 2017 at 9:28 AM · edited Wed, 13 November 2024 at 10:46 PM

When I bought V4 I had only Daz. However, recently I got Poser 10 and want to move V4 to it. How can I do that?

IIRC, Victoria 4 came with a Poser and DAZStudio installers. If you still have the Poser install file, use that for your Poser app. Otherwise, re-download your purchase from DAZ3D. The only other alternative is to link your DAZ content library to Poser which will link the runtime folder.

Thanks.

I added V4 to Poser 10. But, now I have another problem. Mods++ (Mods Shape) don't work. Help!

V4 and her morphs need to be installed to the same runtime and they need to be initialized with the bat file that comes with them. That applies to Creature Creator and all the rest of the DAZ morph packs for the gen 4 figures.

Although I have not attempted a V4 reinstall using the new zip format and DIM, I understand that DIM initialises the install automatically. Again, this is hearsay and not actual experience on my part.

I can confirm that using the zip format and DIM the initialisation is done automatically, although I've always installed to the default DAZ folder, I don't know if it works if you use the DIM to install to another folder. Any additional morph packs that need initialisation are also initialised when you install them using the DIM.

I would recommend to use the DAZ Install Manager. It works fine for Mac and PC. You just to give the the path to your Poser Content folder in the setting. DAZ will install all your purcheased Poser content automatically. You can also choose manually. DAZPoserInstaller.png
