Subject: Looking to get Poser 11

I am feeling the itch to play around with Poser again. What is the best figure to use in Poser 11? When I left the Genesis figure was just released. I still have all my Poser stuff from before so I'm not coming back into this empty handed.

Personally, my favorite figure right now is Dawn, but There have been so recent releases that seem to be pretty decent. V4 weightmapped is still around and was just improved by Karina. Several versions of the Poser 11 figure Pauline and paul have been released, and Deecey and Nerd3D have just released a new figure named Maisie is is pretty good as well. I have to admit though the figure i am waiting for most is PE by Erogenesis. So we'll see what happens when all the smoke clears.

Why not try Daz3d studio? It will take all your Poser models, and it is free. I recently went to DS, and it is really fun and interesting to learn. I still use my Poser, but not nearly as much.

Daz Studio will not take all Poser models. Certainly none made after V4. In fact, I would argue that Poser can use more models than DS including most if not all of the Genesis models if you use DSON, or Will dial's Poser utility. I do agree that Studio is ...interesting to learn, fun, well I haven't had any, but that's me.

Dawn and Dusk do come in DS flavor.

Dawn and Dusk were made in DS and ported over to Poser.

Thank you for the suggestions EClark1894. I purchased Poser 11 earlier tonight and installed it. As for DS... I tried it in the past and I didn't like it. So I don't plan on going back down that road anytime soon.

Figure wise, if you have Dawn SE, the Elisa character at Hivewire is really, really lovely. There are several lovely Dawn SE characters here too.

The dust settled, thinking "what a fine home, at least for now" not realizing that doom would soon be coming in the form of a vacuum cleaner.

There's also more Dawn content around than most people actually think. Finding it among all the clutter is the real trick. That's what my directory is trying to address.

There are more custom figures in development for Poser by independent vendors as well. With good results. PE is amazing as said before and if you take the time to play with Paul and Pauline, they are a great couple of models. Welcome back!!!
