I'm sure you all remember I used to use Studio and cararra together a lot. Is anyone still using Studio to prep figures/clothes for scenes in carrara? This includes dynamic clothing animations?

I'm going to get a render box and maybe replace this 3 year old refurbished discontinued gateway lol

yes and all the latest figures only work in studio but MistyLaraprincess here has fixed them for Carrara but you still need studio to convert the clothing to Blended weight for Carrara. Optitex is sooooooo yesterday we now have Virtual World Dynamics and a Carrara bridge both on sale here and pretty much kept a secret on that forum you are banned from.

I was thinking the same thing. So I got into iClone for the last year or so. (Not Cheap). Carrara hasn't changed at all since you "disappeared", so the software should be familiar. As mentioned, Genesis 1 & 2 work in Carrara, but Genesis 3 and 8 don't, except for the efforts of a special proof reader " MistyLaraPrincess . Her efforts have made Carrara fun again and the community could use another talented and knowlegable user. And I really enjoyed your comments on this and that. Hope you stick around

You're right, Carrara is what it is, and I don't think that's gonna change any time soon. As far as development goes.....I don't think they're as much of a game changer as they think they are.
Nice specs on that rig tho, but still need a good graphics card like GTX 1060. 1070, or 1080, which will add quite a bit to the overall cost

I FINALLY got a new tower (well, new to me anyway) and can run DS 4.9, C8.5 Pro, etc.

It was frustrating, but I finally got DS 4.9 loaded and can finally find my content!

I think it is absolutely absurd that a user has to come up with a way for customers to be able to use Genesis 3 & 8! (No offense to Misty) Daz has far more resources than she has and they could have done it much sooner and with less headache. They should cut her a bloody big cheque for all her trouble!
