I had that problem with the Animation Contest (now in voting), and ended up emailing the video and other pieces to ashleyvs, who got it entered for me. You should contact her and see if you need to do the same.

weird.. normal gallery uploads work ok but each contest I've tried fails.. so I don't bother..

Wonga - I realize you may not be too concerned about the problem uploading to the contest, but I wanted the Rendo folks to know. As I mentioned, I had a problem in the last contest, and others may have just thrown up their hands. So hopefully the problem can get some attention.

I left a message on the entry details page and also sent one via that green Feedback button...

I'll message her if there is no response in a few days... ;-)

It's that "attach file" button. That's never been there before on the 3D contest and I think it is what's causing the problems. I had no idea what was supposed to be attached there, so I added my image file on both the "Image" and the "File" lines and it finally took it. Make sure your image and thumbnail are both at exactly 72dpi too - my thumbnail somehow got saved at 72.009 dpi and it kept getting rejected.
