Environment light is same as lamps that those added into scene? Because I never use it and I find it is better light. I find cycle render, which background is black and image has some noises. Thanks. Untitleda.jpgUntitledb.jpgUntitledc.jpg

Thanks Lobo. "How many samples was the render?" Your meaning is how many objs should be rendered? If it is ,only that obj should be rendered. Well I'd better learning more about blender render, especially cycle. But cycle render which can consume more cpu and RAM.

Sorry Lobo,I get mistake.I check it. Your meaning is that render samples which can reduce noises in cycle render panel. But if adding it,render will be slowly. Thanks.

Yes more samples will take longer to render but by default when your just doing test renders Blenders default is only set to 128 samples. So for a final render you do have to raise the samples I would start going to 500 and going up from there the more complex the model will take longer but with the additional passes noise does get reduced and I know that with an older system can take some time

Thanks Lobo. Well,if I want to give pc a bomb,I will let render samples high.

heddheld ( ) posted Tue, 17 October 2017 at 3:38 AM

Lobo is right that more samples = better pic/ less firefly's BUT bad materials and/or lighting and no matter how high the samples it wont look better check all settings .....watch lots of tuts ..........and if you have to CHEAT ;-) PBR maybe the new kid on the block but a good old fashioned cheat can save hours

ps to get a transparent background on a cycles render ...on render settings scroll down to film and tick the transparent box have fun

😄 All the suggestion are above are great and atpo but from our conversations I know you current can not take full advantage of the latest build of Blender and you are still using an older version but there are numerous tutorials for getting the best render out of the version you have Youtube is your friend
