Subject: Amputee art morphs and appliances for Poser

shante ( ) posted Fri, 15 January 2016 at 11:41 AM ยท edited Thu, 07 November 2024 at 2:45 AM

Greetings. I got a strange request. I have been communicating with an amputee who has been working on an adult story about a quadraplegic who born w/o limbs, has to get through the trials of her condition with a lot of help from family and special friends. I did an image a long time ago this person saw and liked so she contacted me asked me to work on the project. We have been co-writing it together for about a year and now she wants me to illustrate it in a similar style of the image she first saw. But, not knowing how to make morphs for the figure to get rid of legs and removed limb stumps as well as create the appliances and equipment we have described throughout the story, I am at a loggerhead as to how to continue. I need help finding body morphs and appliances and accessories to develop the images for this story which quite frankly are quite erotic but engaging. So anyone interested in helping me with morphs and/or finding/creating the accessories please contact me. Thanks Shante

Thank you. Yes I did get all of Zephyr's stuff and also begged him to make me some morphs too help me work with V4 missing limbs. I wish I knew how to use magnets and stuff as well as create some of the props we have envisioned. I knew this was going to be a real impossible task and mentioned it to her but she is insistent.....and believes in m...Go figure! :(

Not your typical amputation morphs. The character was born w/o limbs, so there are no stumps to start with. The morphs I guess would be to close off the shoulders and shorten considerably where the upper arm is left open when the forearm is turned off. THe same for the legs. There are no Thigh stumps so the morphs would be used to smooth out the area where the thighs come out of the hips. If you send me an email address I can send you some images to better explain this since i seem to be having problems describing the what we have. Imagine a torso with a head buttocks and chest all very smooth having never had limbs therefore no stumps or surgical scars.

Also I did not realize you are the author of the Missus figure. Love it. Just got the braids and look forward to using them on your cool Missus figure. Hope you plan on adding more stuff for her?

EldritchCellar ( ) posted Fri, 15 January 2016 at 2:48 PM

Too much work shante, even if in the realm of possibility with morphs and post work. Sounds like you basically need replacement body parts for the chest and hip, way out of the realm of my time and effort for someone elses vision gratis. Not to come off coldly or anything, just the pragmatic truth. Maybe someone with more time and an empty art schedule exists for such free contributions?

As far as Missus... yes, working on conforming hands for her now. I noticed that you were curious about mouth morphs for her in a post at sharecg. She has over 60 mouth morphs alone... the dials are located in her head. But yeah, I'll continue to make add ons for her over time.

I happened across this site just last week (I was Googling about missing geometry; turned out to be a grouping problem); note there is an adult content disclaimer on the site. I'm not a member so I've no idea what is in their Forum, but there might be something useful. There is a tutorial on removing limbs with the morph brush and magnets, which is what Google found.....

Interesting site WandW. The tutorial method for amputating limbs shown there takes about 10 minutes in Zbrush (if that) using the move and smooth brush. Easy enough when dealing with a cylinder like single limb... unfortunately Shante describes a limbless individual with no stumps emanating from the hip and upper chest... Quite another matter altogether. Seems like it would be a full body morph involving the right/left collars, shoulders, chest, hip, thighs and shins of V4... I'm working on it now, not quite perfect by a long shot, I'll post some images in the morning.

Render 1 copy.jpg

Just a crappy preview image.

As you can see the results aren't smooth but I didn't really want to spend alot of time fussing with this... maybe you can use it.

The zip contains a .pmd inj FBM for V4 and a 2 utility poses. The utility poses will hide and show the necessary parts. These are not transparency Mat Poses but toggle actor visibility in the scene as you would if you were to toggle such in actor properties or the eye icons in the hierarchy editor.

Put the zipped folder in your pose library of choice.

Load V4.

Apply !V4AMP_INJ .pz2 to V4

Dial the V4AMP morph to 1.00 in the Body actor

Apply V4AMPLimbs_OFF utility pose.

Render, etc.

Note; the INJ.pz2 calls on the included .pmd file, to avoid a nag from Poser please keep the .pmd in the same folder as the INJ.pz2

Cool work. I'll d/l a copy, never know when it might come in handy. I think shante is looking for something without stumps to the torso, resembling a severe birth defect without any limb development whatsoever.

I think so too. I did as much as possible without having to seriously resculpt her anatomy. No biggie, it only took a couple hours... most of the time was spent creating the pose files in a text editor, it was an interesting exercise.

Jeesh I had no idea you hated me so much dude! As it really is with me I do have a learning disability and after dealing with three deaths within an 8 month period and having to care for one of them, my mother, in my family 5 years ago and all the sheitz I had to deal with after, my brains has been mush. Just fact. But I guess whomever does NOT travel MY path would never understand that right!?

If you have been following my bitch and moan posts and Greedy want this and need that included posts, sorry but i thought that was what these forums are for. To give the content creator ideas on what to include or the possibilities for future expansion of their products. I don't hold anyone's feet to the fire and demand any damn thing! I just give suggestions. Sorry you took it the wrong way.

Fact I have supported Poser Content creators since P4, both free stuff as well as purchased items! If I could create my own damn content to use I would NOT have been spending thousands of dollars since Poser 4 and still spend money here, at DAZ, at Renderotica, At Hivewire and RDNA! I would just make my own sheitz and not bother trawling the forums, stores and freebie offering all over the Poser-verse. Right? Poser users have a long history of being demanding and greedy when it comes to getting free stuff. Why should I be an different. You should know that by now. At least I do actually use the items and actually have spent countless dollars on products instead of just getting freebies. So why the hell are you bashing me?

As far s a not having given you my excited and due cheer and profound thanks, for having created this amputee morph for me I NEVER GOT THE DAMN HEADS UP NOTICE by the damn bot here....as usual. Hard to respond to replies to my posts if I don't get any indication it has happened. The only reason I found it now was because i followed a link from your ShareCG Missus post and wanted to see why you were not getting a good response from the forums people here, which i did not see so far. As I said there I will repeat here NICE! THANKS!

And thanks too for the morphs for my project. Now, if I may ask a question w/o getting bashed.....will all my morphs for V4 work on the torso and how does it work? I have a lot of the V4++ body morphs which I use a lot as well as the PERFECT set sold here in the store I will need. So if your figure work as a pose injection file, I can easily inject it onto a Perfect V4 Set up starter figure so i can include those other morphs after, it would be great. Just asking.

Another satisfied customer. Lol.

Shante. Noted. Do me a favor though, wouldya? If you download one of my freebies... refrain from all the questions and simply load the thing in Poser and look at it.

You asked me...

"Would be nice if Missus had a working mouth" on my sharecg page.

Ok. Load missus. Select her head. 60 mouth and tongue morphs.

Yesterday you asked me on my sharecg page "would be cool if missus had a camel toe morph"

Ok. Load missus. Select her body. Go to the 'hip' morph category. She has a fully modeled vagina and anus with various morphs. Including a 'Genital Gone' morph.

So yes I'd say "she has a camel toe morph, lol".

If you're going to download my crap (doesn't really amount to much if you do or don't frankly, or no skin off my ass) at least have the forethought to look at the friggin thing before you blitz my personal art space with pointless questions weeks after the fact. You're the only person btw. So there must be some cognitive issues at play. I would sympathetically coo and send a refund for having an abrasive attitude/personality, but... oh yeah.

It's a freebie.

I just don't load ALL Poser content right away until I NEED to or until I get some idea for an image I can use it for.

And I never read about her included morphs until I cam here today. Sorry for being so backward and untimely for your strict demands. S Also, sorry for plugging up your posts with stupid commentary. Since it is obviously no skin off your ass, I promise NEVER to thank you or praise you or ask any questions about your offerings again like so many ungrateful and thankless content users are wont to do. Dude the problem with this all is that words DO have effects on people. Spoken in a face to face context they can be buffered over during the heat of the discourse. In writing in a public forum they are far more egregious especially if WRITTEN out of context with the implied or actual tone used. Sorry if it all "sounded" contemptuous and less humorous to but as i said online there is no meter to figure out what the tone and intent was behind them. Bashing and "Razzing" all READ the same man. Hey guys, please be respectful of other users. The conversation should not turn harsh if a participant does not respond fast enough. We all have lives that sometimes take us away from the computer for sometimes days at a time. Also not responding fast enough should not indicate that the participant is not grateful for the help.

If anyone is interested I've made some amputee props for V4. I they are for lower amputations.

Interested. Where can they be seen (any renders with) or picked up if available?

Sometimes things get past us. Sometimes the reports come in about posts quite old. There have been some posts deleted here based on that. Unproductive posts violating the TOS. This is just a post to note that. Please carry on.

I'm sorry Boni but I do not know if you are talking to me or someone else here.

I think Boni was speaking to anyone who might be interested in commenting here. I was surprised at the thread until I saw how old it was and I agree with her, if it's relevant again, great I hope people get something out of it but we'd rather not see the type of comments that the thread had back in February.

I agree. But my question is...and i am not trying to cause problems here just curious....what is someone supposed to do if comments are made of the sort that were made of me on MY THREAD!?

You can report individual posts in a thread. If you look at the bottom of this post of mine, you'll see the boxes for "quote", "print", "link", etc. The last one is to report a post. Choose a reason from the drop down menu and type an explanation. You can also follow up by directly site mailing a moderator or a coordinator. Doing that will get it noticed right away. I definitely see site mails before I see reported posts. I wouldn't report the posts from February, Boni and I have seen those and she's already taken care of several. Just for anything going forward.

Kendra is right, this is not aimed at anyone specifically. There were just a few posts that were inappropriate and they were deleted based on reports and re-evaluation. Nothing current.

I'll have to make a render for you, I recently upgraded fro Poser 10 to 11, I had to reinstall all of my content.I haven't reimported or rescaled them yet. I'll add that for today's to do list.

The ones that work the best are the below elbow and below knee amputations.

I am interested in these as well. I look forward to your upload. You can make them available in our free stuff area, or provide a link to ShareCG if you prefer. Thank you for sharing these with the community.

The problem is that re-scaling them to fit exactly right is next to impossible, I will be making some morphs after I upgrade to Poser 11 pro. That being said check out these free downloads http://www.sharecg.com/v/86798/browse/11/Poser/Shawn-V4.2-Free-Character They have a few bugs to work out, and they might just as well be stand alone figures. What I had to do was to inject the V4 morphs ++ and manually zero all of the morphs, and then save them as a separate figure, but once that is done they work fantastically. Now those work great for congenital amputees, but for acquired ones you would have to but these products: http://www.renderotica.com/store/sku/45101_VNLM-s-AlterBODY and http://www.renderotica.com/store/sku/45104_VNLM-s-Amputation-V4. I hope that this helps.
