Subject: Is there a way to see what a Clearance item's usual price is?

I'm having to make hard choices for the sale. If I knew which items were normally #3.50 or so, I would put them off in favor of the big discounts now. I'm guessing the only way to know the regular price is to have had the item in my wishlist, but if there's another way, I'd be grateful to learn it.

The original price is still on the page, in grey, struck out and above the sale price. When the item went into clearance it dropped in price by 35% I believe. You can also see now what percent the discount is when the price is $3.50. Other than that, I don't know what information you're looking for.

Thanks for pointing out the original price is still available to view! If I can't find out what the usual clearance price is, I'll just grab items that were originally most expensive.

I thought the usual clearance prices vary so much because the vendors chose the amount to discount--for example, ile-avalon's The Guardian Bundle is normally on clearance for around $11, if I remember correctly, so the end-of-year sale price is a great deal. But other items stay $3.50 or so all year long, so there's less incentive to snap them up now.

I think looking at the percentage of the discount is the best way to see if it's a bargain. Normally, clearance items have a 35% discount but if you see a discount of 60% or 70% then this is the time to get it. :)

Do the vendors have more flexibility for pricing with Prime items? I may've confused their pricing with that of Clearance items. Or I may've just been confused. 😀
