Times being tough and all, SMV has gotten a second job, cleaning houses. She isn't so sure about the uniform her boss makes her wear though, she thinks it's a little short. Anyway, after I finally figured out a way to make nice ruffled lace edges, a French Maid's costume was a natural. This is about 95% done, the little glovelets have to be changed and she needs the traditional headpiece, and a mask (it is really a costume, after all!) that's about it. Originally I was going to combine this with two other costumes and try and get them all out by Halloween, but I think I'm going to break this out. I might do a verson for regular Vickie too, as this only fits snug on the upper body it should port over pretty well. Whadda ya think?

Nice work, I'm a newbie and curious how you do the ruffled lace edges. I've been trying to make some clothes and it has not quite worked out the way I would have liked. Anyway, good job and any direction will be helpful and much appreciated.

ahh... umm... that is very lovely and definately should do a regular version for Vicky, versatility is key. I think that a combo package of this and a nurses outfit would be outstanding too. Davo

Here is another pic, with her holding up a pole. I have no idea where the term "French Maid" originated, but everyone sort of knows what they look like! I eventually figured out I'd have to do a pettycoat too, as otherwise it get _really_ naughty when she bends over! Besides, you need somethinf to explain why the skirt puffs out lik ethey do. I've got a whole ton of stuff about 75% done, I am going to try and get this one out the door this week. The other costumes are Roman theme, so this didn't fit too well anyway. As to the lace, I found iy you do it as a loft Max will UV map it for you, otherwise you have to map it flat and then ruffle it, quite a chore!

well, at leats for now, my SMV likes to run around in the buff, and flaunt her perfect midriff and thighs :) good job jim.

Hi Jim Burton-- I like the look of the bodice pretty well, tho of course it could be a bit lower-cut; any opportunity for cleavage. Wish the skirt was tighter (less poofy, in the American sense), and a length morph would be dreamy. Davo: there's a great free P4 French Maid outfit at iso Page and Digital Love Doll. Velvet tex and special boob morph come with. They're working on a nurse outfit, too--should be ready in November. M

Here's yet another pic, I got the bow on the apron done (not a trivial task!) and the new wristlets - I finished the headpiece too, but forgot to include it! The shoes (SMV can never have enough shoes!) and the duster will go with it, I transmapped the duster like I do hair, it worked out pretty nice, I thought. I was planning a low-cut morph, and I was thinkinging about a length morph on the skirt too, to show off the pettycoat, if nothing else. No un-poofy, though, this is the style all the maids are wearing now!

Primal Fantasy OUCH stuff, JB ;-) Although the hair of a REAL maid would never be allowed to fly around like that - but this maid's an UNreal beauty, so who cares.

Here is what it looks like in pink, you can't see a lot of the detil in black, even if it is the tradional color. Needs a tiny bit more bump map and a tad less highlite, though. I remembered the headpiece this time, what are those things called, anybody know? I recut the dress and tried a more normal operation of the skirt, it turns out it works better than the mermaid style (the skirt moved manually, as a unit) after all. I guess I need to do some fancy tops for the stocking too, as it looks like she will be showing them a lot!
