The purpose of e-on saying they have been hacked since 2013 is to warn customers. If you have used credit/debit cards with the site in that time frame it is a good idea to go to your bank and request new cards issued, also if you use a shared password it is good idea to go onto the other sites with the same password and change it. The "hackers" are like parasites, the idea is not to destroy the host but to make the most profit from it.
A bit paranoid, don't you think? Why, after all these years of running an honest business, would e-on suddenly decide to rip off their customers? I honestly do believe this whole hacking thing is legit and what they say happened really did happen.

Funny that hackers took over their servers but "FROM 2013 DOWN". Don't believe it as this means when they pop back all people who purchased vue from 2013 backwards will receive message sorry could not save the hacked info we have no records of your purchases. Pleas buy a new computer and the latest version vue. A big rip off yes every year new vue never fix older versions, i don't believe this rubbish. Good hackers will take all information from servers from when the founded till today, get every bit of info then wipe out the servers. A good hacker can eradicate all info. I do not believe a word e-on saying.
