Sounds to me like you're having too bright lights and facing directly to the eyes... never encountered this problem ever myself in the past 20 years! :)
BUT..might be useful to specify the software you're using (Poser or DS) in order to get a proper answer! Mine was for Poser 100% :)

Hey all When I render my figure the eyes, finger and toenails are so reflective they look like glass. I just don’t know how to correct the issue. I’ve tried fooling around with nodes but I just can’t seem to get a clear eyeball. I’m on a mobile device so I can’t post a screenshot. Any suggestions has anyone encountered this themselves?
