Subject: Need help rigging facial morphs on a figure

I need help rigging facial morphs on a human figure.

I created a new figure based on the existing Vincent Parker figure and all of the morphs work properly except for the ones to open his mouth. It looks like the morphs aren't "splitting" the upper and lower lips, even though they don't share polygons or vertices.

For example, the Open Mouth morph pulls the jaw down, but it doesn't open the lips. Instead, the upper lip warps and the mouth doesn't open. The MouthF morph should curl the upper lip, show the teeth, and not move the lower lip, but the lower lip is sticking to the upper lip and warping.

Does anyone have any good ideas? If it helps, I'm using Poser Pro 2012.

I've never created a character but I've watched some tutorials. Do you have The lips rigged to move? I would think you want either the new P11 handles or at least rigging to mesh points on the lips.

The lips aren't separate parts since they don't need to be. ๐Ÿ˜‰ In theory, the morphs should open and close the lips on the new figure like they do on the original figure. The original figure was designed for use in Poser 5, so P11 handles shouldn't be needed, but I'll take a look at that idea.

I'm probably totally wrong, but for some reason I was thinking it would be similar to rigging the tips of fingers or even the way the tongue is rigged to move.
