Subject: Gallery Upload incomplete

adorety ( ) posted Sun, 15 July 2018 at 1:58 PM ยท edited Sat, 16 November 2024 at 5:51 PM

When I bring up the Upload Art page it is incomplete. It loads up to Art Sales/ Stock Image and that's it. No Terms of even a submit button.

I just checked it and for me it works. Try to clean your cache, this sometimes helps.

Still not working. Cleared cache/history in Chrome, Tried Micosoft Edge Browser, same thing. The page loads like it's complete, but the bottom sections are not there.

I use Firefox but also in IE it works fine

Also I just saw some uploads during the last hour and so it should work fine

When I scroll to the bottom of the load page it looks like this. I don't know what else to tell you, because it is still not working for me. If you have any other suggestions on what I can try on my end I'm open. But I've checked this through two other browsers and have the same results. I can try updates to my computer next, maybe that will yield something. Screenshot (12).png

Try a mobile device like a smartphone or tablet... if that works then you'll know you have a user/firewall upload restriction policy set somewhere in Windows.

adorety ( ) posted Sun, 15 July 2018 at 8:01 PM

Still not working, besides why or how would a restriction only load part of the page? Nothing personal but every time something like this happens it's been on Renderosity's end. There's no settings I've changed or would change in my computer or the the home network. Unless there is something up with Xfinity/Comcast.

You could block a certain Java script/element on the page from displaying but this is not your case... I'd try a password reset and go thru the settings... I'm guessing you already tried uploading stuff somewhere else and it checks out.

I tried uploading from a separate computer in the house and came to the same incomplete page. You mean reset my Renderosity password? I'll try resetting the modem.

Yes, one of those was mine, and I had no problem uploading, but I also use Firefox for my browser.

I will send this over to the developer to check out.

adorety ( ) posted Mon, 16 July 2018 at 12:28 PM

I've reset my Rendo password, installed Firefox and rebooted my modem. And I'm still getting the same results as the screenshot I sent. If there is a place in my computer I can check settings that might cause this, I'm open to suggestions. Otherwise there's something else going on either with Rendo or my cable provider Xfinity.

adorety ( ) posted Mon, 16 July 2018 at 7:27 PM

Just an update and the upload art page is still incomplete when I call it up. I've tried three different browsers, reset my password, reset my modem and updated my security software. I don't know what other settings in my computer or browsers I can check that would fix this. To me it looks like a site error, because the page loads up as if complete but it's missing, You can refer to the earlier post with the screen shot.

Judging from what I've read from other posts, it seems a host of things have been glitched and some fixed. The last time I submitted art it was not that long ago and I have not done anything different with my computer until now trying to "fix" something I didn't break.

I'm pretty sure it is a problem at your side, If you check the galleries and count the number of new artworks uploaded without any problems, that shows very clear that the upload function is OK. .

I just now posted to gallery with no problem.

adorety ( ) posted Tue, 17 July 2018 at 7:09 PM

As of Monday at 8:30 PM EST I could not upload an image due to the upload page being incomplete. It is 8 pm EST Tuesday the 17th and I just opened my computer. I went to Rendo first to see if anything had changed at the site. The upload is now there and complete, yet I didn't change anything in the computer since rebooting the modem yesterday afternoon, which did nothing. ????? I guess we'll never know what the real reason was, but I know it was not this computer. Sometimes Xfinity gets finicky, but again, we'll probably never know what caused the glitch. Thanks for your patience and quick replies.
