Don't they have any ambitions to bring out new and better Dawn and Dusk figures? After all, they're out now for quite a while.
Doubt it - It doesn't appear that their business model is based on churn.

lol
No, HiveWire's business model is to produce very high quality 3D characters. If there's a reason to upgrade Dawn and Dusk in the future, I'm sure they'll do it, but for now they're just fine as they are.
Besides, a lot of vendors both here, and at HiveWire, have created some really good "characters" for Dawn and Dusk. It's all a matter of taste as to whether the general public likes them or not. I don't know anyone who only uses any base figure as is, so updating Dawn and Dusk isn't going to "change their looks". As long as they function well, why would they need any updates?

As an aside, there is a Dawn anniversary sale going on until Friday at Hivewire...

I wouldn't go that far - there isn't much for Dawn & Dusk here and outside of what Karanta is cranking out, what is here was released during the initial launch. We don't have a lot in the way of variety, just early 20-somethings Caucasians.
I would really, really like to retire my DAZ figures, but as long as we are limited to the aforementioned type, I can't.
As an aside, I really wish someone would provide us some proportion morphs, either along the lines of the SP4 proportion morphs or Lyrra's M4/V4 height dials. A normal sized female is around 5'4", not 5'11".

Well, as far as products being release during the initial launch, they still work with the current DawnSE, and I've seen a number of items here in the store, and not just clothing but characters as well, for Dawn. True, Dusk doesn't get as much attention as he should, but then M4 didn't get the attention V4 did either. That's just how the 3D market seems to be. More people would rather have the girls/ladies in their renders, than the boys/men. I don't think there's ever going to be a change as far as that goes.
As to your request for proportion morphs, I guess you haven't seen Lyrra's Shape of Dawn product at HiveWire. I think it's exactly what you're looking for, and there's also the Diva character based on Dawn, that's probably around a 5 or 6 year old Dawn.
