Blender F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Nov 10 9:28 pm)
Hello dlm4001
First when you imported from Marvelous Designer did you import with the option to keep Vert order and Poly groups?
If so in edit mode select the faces you want to add to the group you already have click on the upside down triangle in properties pane and then select the group from the list you want to add the faces to and click on assign. In most likely hood you will probably need to re-UV map your item to account for the new faces you created
Hope this helps good luck

This is very helpful. (I learned something, including, I was asking the wrong question.) I did select keep vertex order. I only have one vertex group named default, but I have the three material groups from Marvelous Designer> After correcting the triangles, I have a few faces are that are not in the correct material group now . (Now I am asking the right question). How do I move the faces from material group to another?
Hi dlm4001
Glad you got it it took me a few redos in my head to try and give you the best answer but glad you got it now

I am still learning Blender so bear with me.
I have a clothing article I made in Marvelous Designer. There are three groups in the mesh (Trim, Front, Back). I took the mesh into Blender for some clean up, fine adjustments to fit, and a little smoothing. I found a few triangles even though I exported quads.(It happens sometimes). So I cleaned them up by making quads. During this, I deleted faces created new vertices and 'f'illed them in. (you know the old tricks) The new faces are in the wrong group. I need to select the faces in the wrong group and move them from the front group to trim trim group. How do I do this?
Thanks
