Subject: WIP Outfit for G8F - Fashion/Gothic Mantle Dress

It's taken a fair while for me to get to this point on my second ever product so I present the WIP of the fashion mantle dress (better ideas for a name are welcome)

Still a fair amount of work left to do.

so far I'm happy with the base geometry, the dForce settings/simulation are ok, and the rigging/posing without dForce is horrendous.

Morphs and Final textures still to be started (going to sort out the rigging and weight maps first).

It looks amazing. Can you show a standing pose please?

Thanks :). Ah right yea a standing pose is a good idea. so here is a pic of both A-pose and a more natural standing pose.

Also if anyone has suggestions on the best way to handle the semi stiff collar, I'm all ears. My current Frankenstein of settings and a dynamic surface addon appears to work but if anyone knows the 'proper' way to use the surface addon settings and is willing to share I'd appreciate it.

Looks good. Yeah, long dresses were a huge pain before dforce, and usually not worth fooling with. That's why very few vendors did anything longer than knee length and those that did make specific morphs to match specific poses.

Progress update, not much new to look at but rigging, morphs and probably improved dforce settings are done. rigged the cape and collar wings with new bones so that they can be dragged with active pose tool to adjust collision in some poses prior to running dforce. while smoothing out some fitting morphs I also fitted the mantle part to my previous product, the Party frill dress (was more an experiment at the time but it turned out ok).

Now on to texturing.

Looks nice , Daz studio in general & dForce are not much help & I know how much effort you need to do to get the results you want
