Subject: How to create shallow depth of field in vue

Hey I am looking to create a shallow depth of field with vue and so far have been unsuccessful. Any hints or ideas of how to do this effect? Any input is greatly appreciated!

I normally do that in post - render out a Z Depth map and use to drive a lens blur in photoshop
