Subject: RSR to PNG converter (Dizzi) PP12 Airlibrary problem

daywalker5577 ( ) posted Thu, 08 November 2018 at 8:33 AM · edited Tue, 19 November 2024 at 1:25 PM

Hello all,

Since i had more and more thumbs in my librarypalette showing the "shouldershrugman"icon, i decided to convert all RSR to PN. Using Dizzi's free converter worked like a charm. The tool is very quick and very easy to use. When I checked my libraries afterwards, all CR2, PP2,.... had a nice corresponding PNG next to them. So far so good !

However, when i opened pp12 and launched the airlibrary, all thumbs in every folder of every runtime show up like this :

scr.jpg

I also have P11 ... There the thumbs work perfect and show up in the libraries as it should be.

So i'm guessing this is Adobe/air related, but i don't have a clue where to go look for settings or a solution. So if anyone here has a solution, i'd be very thankfull to hear about it !

Forgot to mention : When i open the library with IE explorer, it shows up with the thumbs correctly displayed :

POSERPRO PATH//Runtime/ui/Flex/LSMGUI/bin-release/LSMGUI.html#

But even so, from within PP12 >> window >> "check"parameter dials it still shows up the same as the image above.

Just one question, did you update your Adobe Air?

Thanks for your quick reply Jules53757, Yes, adobe air is updated to the latest version. I'm on win8.1 btw.

Found it . Seems iobit advance systemcare ultimate was blocking adobe air. Strange though as i have been using iobit ASC for years with no problems whatsoever. And now all of a sudden it blocks Adobe air and some other progs like Faststone image viewer as well. found nothing in the settings of ASC that pointed to this though. So uninstalling iobit made me discover that everything worked like a charm afterwards. Than i re-installed latest version of ASC and seems that everything works only on the lowest security settings in real-time protection. Any other setting blocks the library and Faststone straightaway... even whitelisting both doesn't help ... weirdweirdweird.. quess i should talk to iobit then :)

Solved for now, but any suggestions always still welcome !! thanks all !

in fact, to be more specific, it's the ransomware engine that "protects" (read blocks) all kinds of files, folders and tons of file-extensions ... found 2 solutions here :

  1. deselecting all extentions (png jpeg...) in the "picture" list of antiransomware protectionsettings (made FS work properly) and deselecting database and design file extensions made airlibrary work or
  2. whitelist every program LSMGUI.exe, poserpro.exe, FSviewer.exe in the RANSOMWARE whitelist, and not the firewall whitelist as i said earlier.

conclusion : iobit tightened the securityknot a bit as standard settings. downside : took a lot of digging and try-and-error before finding the cause. iobit is not very transparent on accessing securitysettings imo.

Anyway, just letting you all know in case someone comes accross similar probs with airlibrary or such :)
