Subject: Wishlist "Sort By"not working

thefixer ( ) posted Tue, 27 November 2018 at 11:32 AM · edited Fri, 20 September 2024 at 3:39 AM

I sort my wishlist by low to high cost but it hasn't been working for a few days now. The items costs are not in order, they're all over the place... I can have items at $4 then a $12 pops up next to it followed by another $4 and so on....It really is a shambles....

Not working for me either

Firefly727 ( ) posted Fri, 30 November 2018 at 12:29 PM

Any news re fixing the wishlist? It still isn't working (sort by price)

PrestonW ( ) posted Fri, 30 November 2018 at 2:58 PM

The programmers are busy with other issues right now but this is on the list of things to fix. Hopefully they can get to it soon.

Torquinox ( ) posted Mon, 03 December 2018 at 3:45 PM

It's working now. 😃

Torquinox ( ) posted Wed, 05 December 2018 at 6:33 AM

Or not. When an item is on sale, the price drops. It is sorted by sale price. When the sale ends, your code still sorts it at the sale price. 😐

thefixer ( ) posted Thu, 06 December 2018 at 12:05 PM

It's still not working.....How long is it going to take to sort out a bit of code..?

Torquinox ( ) posted Thu, 06 December 2018 at 1:46 PM

Not that long. It's working again now. 👍

thefixer ( ) posted Thu, 06 December 2018 at 2:35 PM

So it is, thank you....

zicsov ( ) posted Sat, 08 December 2018 at 9:10 AM

Oh no it isn't! Tried sorting to bring Clearance items together but only random sort with no real logic to it, with six plus pages this makes it tedious. The sort hasn't worked for me for several weeks now.

thefixer ( ) posted Sat, 08 December 2018 at 9:21 AM

Don't think you can sort by clearance, it's not on my drop down list.....!

Cofiwch Dryweryn.

Torquinox ( ) posted Sat, 08 December 2018 at 12:03 PM

Clearance items are sorting at not-$3.50 price. Unless one of their devs can fix it, that will last until the $3.50 sale is over. Wishlist hasn't had a clearance-only sort since the redesign. I don't remember if it had that before.

Firefly727 ( ) posted Sat, 08 December 2018 at 2:58 PM

Any news on when there will be a permanent fix to the sort by price function? I'm missing out on bargains - Renderosity is missing out on sales - because a pretty basic function is not working.

Torquinox ( ) posted Mon, 10 December 2018 at 7:05 AM

No news, and it's still doing whatever.

thefixer ( ) posted Mon, 10 December 2018 at 11:30 AM

It's back to being all over the place again.... Firefly727 is right, I can't be bothered navigating my wishlist like this and you ARE losing sales as a result....

Torquinox ( ) posted Mon, 10 December 2018 at 11:39 AM

It shouldn't be that hard to fix.

You're right..... But what's worse is that nobody from the ptb can be bothered to post an update to the problem.....

I can't defend the wishlist sort bug. Someone should have fixed it before now. Rendo Devs, please fix it soon!

RubyTuesday70 ( ) posted Wed, 12 December 2018 at 1:19 PM

I can’t help but add myself to the list of disappointed Rendo members. I rely heavily on the “sort by” feature and not being able to use it with all the holiday sales going on (not to mention the clearance sale) is a real shame (to put it mildly).

The sad thing id that Rendo do not seem to care that their shop window is broken, that for me at least it isn't worth the hassle of trying to scan through a large wishlist. The last comment from Rendo re this was over two weeks ago saying - in subtext at least - that in their opinion the wishlist isn't an issue.. What they don't seem to get is that for their customers IT IS an issue.

Normally when you do an IT upgrade that doesn't work you roll back... Surely if your IT guys can't fix the issues just go back to a version of the website that worked... You've got a timeline.. It last worked sometime before the 27th November..

Think of it this way guys, if we can't sort our wishlists how we want them and we can't be arsed looking through the entire thing [which we can't], just think of the money we're saving by not purchasing anything.... ;)

PrestonW ( ) posted Tue, 18 December 2018 at 3:28 PM

I was informed today that the wishlist should be working. Is it not?

thefixer ( ) posted Tue, 18 December 2018 at 3:40 PM

Nope.... Top 4 items in my wishlist sorted by lowest to highest shows $5.95 followed by $3.82 then $5.96, then $3.98....It just gets worse after that...Further down there's a $9.95 followed by a $4.97.... It's a mess...

Ok I am not sure what the deal is but I will tell them again.

Torquinox ( ) posted Tue, 18 December 2018 at 4:37 PM

It's working for me now. Will be great if it's finally fixed! Thanks Preston!

Torquinox ( ) posted Wed, 19 December 2018 at 11:38 AM

I'm still seeing a little weirdness. I have a couple items in my queue. Yesterday, they were ~50% off. Today, they're 30% off and they're sorted as if full price. The code isn't picking up the new sale price.

thefixer ( ) posted Wed, 19 December 2018 at 11:48 AM

It's working today for me too... Thank you for fixing this..

Cofiwch Dryweryn.

thefixer ( ) posted Fri, 28 December 2018 at 12:38 PM

Well, that didn't last long, it's all jumbled up again.....I've attached a screen grab this time. This is the bottom of page one, there are other mixed prices all over the page like this.... Just not good enough.....low-to-high.jpg

thefixer ( ) posted Sat, 29 December 2018 at 6:07 AM

Working again today, let's hope it stays that way this time...

Cofiwch Dryweryn.

Torquinox ( ) posted Sat, 29 December 2018 at 7:27 AM

@thefixer: You're still going to see sort errors when items change sale price. An item goes from 60% off to 30% off, it will sort as if 60% off and show the 30% off price. It stays that way until something else happens. It's a bug!
