Subject: No clue about blender. Two questions 2.80b

1.There is that toogle Camera gizmo in Blender 2.80 beta. Clicking it and your view changes from the editor view to that camera view. How do you rotate the camera while your looking through it?

  1. I can see a lot of render options, but where is THE render button?

Use F12 for image render or ctrl F12 for animation render same as in 2.79 or under the render menu at the top. It is no longer in the render settings in the panel.

Found it thank you. What about rotating the render camera: "1.There is that toogle Camera gizmo in Blender 2.80 beta. Clicking it and your view changes from the editor view to that camera view. How do you rotate the camera while your looking through it?"

To look through the camera, press '0' on your number-pad (don't think it's changed since 2.79) You then also need to 'lock camera to view' - an option you can see under 'Camera Lock' in the properties menu (press 'n' if it's not already open). This way you can move the camera like any other viewport. If you unlock the camera, you can zoom in/out relative to your screen size to make the camera fill more of it (makes it easier for me). Then lock again and move/rotate)

Yeah, Timberwolf, although Blender 2.8's UI endeavours to be a bit more mainstream, there are still quirks to get your head around. I'm used to Blender pre-2.8 and am having to re-learn a lot, which is fine: I think it'll have more universal appeal, eventually, because of the UI changes. Particularly the "select-with-left-click" by default will prove less of a hurdle for new users.

Have a look at these - both Andrew Price's introduction and Chocofur's are well worth the time spent.
