Yes, I like his videos as well, and one of the gals at HiveWire had posted about these this morning, so already have them bookmarked.

OK . . . Where's my chocolate?
Just watched the first one - gives a good overview of the interface changes (and arguments why it's a good thing (mostly)).
I like some of the changes, not sure about others (I'm just so used to hitting 'A' twice to deselect all. I guess I'd get used to Alt-A and it does make more sense (like Alt-H to unhide everything). But as with almost all the changes, there's an option to go back to the old method if you don't like it.
Don't like the new icons for 'world, materials, etc' tabs - but again, I'll get used to it (and if it's true that you can choose your own colour for each one, it might actually make it easier for me).
Downloading the beta to have a play, but sticking with 2.79b for now for actual projects (since 2.8 is only a beta)
have watched all three and he does give a good brief and basic overview of things. I'm having a lot of WTF moments when pressing key combo's and short cuts etc that I am used to and now do something different or nothing at all. And getting the hang of using pie menus and really starting to like them.

I am glad that this set of tutorials is of some use I have been trying to follow a few myself and muscle memory of keys I am use to hitting has given me a few WTH moments but yes it will take some getting use to of the new UI and keyboard shortcuts. Came across this one yesterday as well that I liked because the creator also stumbled thru 2.8 but made a pretty cool Cave environment which I have not seen often

I actually met Andrew in Loganholme, of all places. Of course I recognised him and - star-struck - had a lovely conversation with one of the nicest ever gentlemen you could ever wish to meet. I agree: his videos are superb, and he's as personable as he appears on his videos.

As am I. I'm accustomed to [Shift] [Tab] toggling between vert / edge / face mode and I still can't find the thingie for selecting what you scale to. Help in this case is singularly unhelpful, as is Google. Only just because I'm not exactly sure how to phrase my query: "blender 2.8 scale to cursor or active or ..."? Google doesn't know 2.8 yet.

I am starting to play a little more with 2.8 watched the first 2 of Andrews videos and somethings started to make sense and could find things a little better but do think I will be changing space bar back to search like in 2.79 because it became really useful for me that way and it being set as auto play for animation is a wasted key since animations at this present time not one of my Blender goals. I also think unless it has changed many of the usual default addons are still turned off by default the interface I already know that I will need to change themes default colors are just tad to dark for my aging eyes to handle.

That's the beauty of Blender, isn't it, Lobo? you can make it what YOU want it to be!

I use to dread making cosmetic changes to the UI or color scheme thinking I would break something and have to reinstall it again or something plus you can find some really good color schemes on like Blend Swap a site I highly recommend for everyone
