Yes, can you PLEASE put limits on uploads, not just review and ignore like you always do. I pretty much quit looking for new stuff in the galleries because of having to wade through all the spammed crap. Have a look at today for a really good example. There's some good artwork in those pages of crap that will now never be seen because they're lost in tlot1986's avalanche of garbage.
I haven't uploaded more than a couple in one day recently, but back in 2017, when I realized I had a lot of renders I hadn't posted in the previous 5 years, I wasn't allowed to upload more than 5 a day, IIRC. Whether that's still in effect, I'm not sure, because now I make sure to be current with uploading renders.
If that option is still in effect, maybe changing it to only 2 per day may be the way to go.

Personally, I think 5 is a good limit. what I was getting at was people uploading pages and pages of images. That's a bit much.
Ohhhh, IOW, they do 5-a-day, but then do it day after day for weeks on end? Yeah, that would piss me off as well. Even when I was uploading a lot back in 2017, it was only for 3 or 4 days, and then I didn't upload anything for a while. I was just bringing my gallery "up-to-date" so to speak. I wasn't looking for a whole bunch of reward points. In fact, I'm not sure if the new Reward Points system was even in effect back then.

I think that's the main wrinkle Torquinox. Why else would they flood the galleries day after day?

If I remember correctly, there's supposed to be a 5 image limit for regular members and no limit for prime members, but it doesn't look like the lasted yahoo is prime.

Ohhh, I forgot about the no limit for Prime members, but then if the gallery flooders aren't Prime members, how are they getting away with it?

Checking to see if they were accidentally removed, would certainly be a good step in the right direction to see why this is happening.

Thirty images in one day? That's a bit overboard if you ask me, especially since he has to do it one-at-a-time. Ten per day would've been more appropriate if he is indeed a Prime member.

This is something I've mentioned in the forum a number of times. I gave up since nothing seems to happen to curb it. I can deal with 5 - 6 a day, but the ones that post 30 images in one session? Or the ones that post 10 - 12 images that look like they were drawn by a 5-year-old? That's a little much... I'm sure many of them are farming for reward points. Maybe a system that adds rewards for the first 5 or so uploads in the same day, and none for any past that (even better take away points if they exceed 10 a day ?)? I'm not sure how difficult that would be to implement, but it might help to reduce the flooding. Just a thought..

Once again today, someone is flooding the gallery - 15 images so far... PLEASE! Can we set some reasonable limits on gallery uploads? Can we take some kind of action, rather than just post another boilerplate response that the issue is "under review?" 'Under review' is NOT working.
It's not only inconsiderate, but it's just plain RUDE to bury everyone else's art under an avalanche of images just so someone can get a handful of reward points. Please, please, please consider the 99.9% of your membership that don't engage in this blatantly rude activity, and set some reasonable limits for gallery uploads - even for Prime members (I am one).
Thanks!

Even at my most prolific, I doubt I could upload more than 5 per day, assuming I'd had some lead time to work on 'em. Anyone uploading a huge amount of images must have either spent many months on 'em and stored them up, or be uploading complete tosh.

I am a prime member. I only post maybe 1 or 2 images a week & Personally i don't usually mind people posting 4 or 5 images in a day or in a row. i enjoy looking at peoples creativity. . But lately the individual(s) that are farming for rewards points & posting 10 or more images in a row make it very hard for other artist to simply share their own art works ,Not to mention anyone seriously trying to sell their art work & photographs here have to wade through a sea of same type images. I am trying to not sound like sour grapes but it can be frustrating, if I could make a decision on how to solve this issue. I would limit image uploads to 1 image every 1 -2 hours, giving time between uploads. periods. that way the reward -farmers can still keep farming, but at a slower rate. not flooing the gallery all at one time. giving the rest of the people a chance to share their renders in the same hour time period. . just my 2 cents

While we encourage members to upload their artwork in the Renderosity Gallery and actively reward it, we became aware that this was being abused by several members.
Thus, keeping our members' interests in mind, we will be taking measures to ensure the Gallery is not spammed. At this point we do not wish to impose strict limitations but would rather deal with it on a case-by-case basis.
We hope this will ensure a more pleasant experience in viewing, participating and uploading to the Gallery.
Is this why I can not upload my art any more? It took me hours to try and re-try, just to be taken to a blank page. Now, since yesterday, I can't upload anything at all. Its the only trouble I have, no other pages misbehave. Its the only site I have problems with. I have tried multiple browsers, as well. Nothing. I only post one a day, maybe two if I'm really hot that day. :)

This is what I just encountered. My last post to my gallery was April 5th. I hardly produce volumes, but I always post to Renderosity first, because I like this place best. :-( Guess if I can't upload, then it has to go somewhere else... but I'm sad.
I will try again tomorrow, in case this is only temporary... although even an error message would be better than the blank page. I feel unpersoned ;-)

Well, I just saw at least 13 images - 90% of them just simple variations of the same image - uploaded by the same person. This is what we (or at least I) find annoying and just plain rude. Just to get reward points...

This isn't just a 3d site. There are 2d galleries, Photoshop, Paintshop pro, gimp, writers, and mixed media as well as photography. Taken from the about page "The Renderosity community is made up of members who have a passion for helping others learn, share and grow in digital art." since most cameras are digital these days, I think they would qualify.

Why are there photographs allowed in the galleries, AT ALL? What does a photograph have to do with 3D art? There are 5,000,000 other sites to post photographs on. And, like, peoples travel photos? And cat photos? Can't you limit the images to 3D art?
This is not a strictly 3d site, it's for art in general including photography. An example of other art being posted here: Over the years a number of people have posted scans and/or photos of their paintings, drawings and other conventional art.

I have nothing against photos - I'm a photographer myself (and frequently use photos as backgrounds). Photography is an artform. It's just when someone floods the gallery with 15 - 30+ images (no matter how they were created) that have only minor variations, it just seems like all they are doing is farming for reward points. And burying the rest of us that upload one or two images a week. All it takes is a little consideration for our fellow artists. Simple.

Yeah, I kindda like my images buried in comments and views only, just like Rod said. So let's be nice to each other... this is a community of artists not Daz3D.
Are those who use Daz not considered artists, be nice you say and then go on to insult people.
Of course they are, but not all artists are daz users or even 3d users.

@tparo I really have no idea what you're trying to say about me but if you look into my favorites and take the time to read the comments I leave for other artists here, I'm pretty sure you'll think otherwise. Please don't go away mad... let's be friends!

What's up with the flood in the galleries by individual posters? It's like every week these days. Ain't there limits or sumthin'?
