Renderosity is pleased to announce Tuesday, June 18 the acquisition of Poser, 3D Character Art and Animation Software. Renderosity began as a place for Poser users to build a community around their shared interest in digital art. Now Renderosity has become the place for Poser.

This is exciting news! Great to see our beloved software program in the hands of a company that is ? supportive of the creative arts community. I feel Renderosity will take Poser in exciting and new directions with figures and features that will give DAZ and its Genesis figures truly serious competition. I’m anxious to see what happens in the near future! ???

Congratulations! Now a question or so... How will it be handled for the previous purchases we made if we need to re-download? now it is handled through the download manager. And stuff we purchased through Content Paradise from so many vendors, hope they will not be lost. anything that was a direct download I backed up to disks but not the download manager stuff.

Similar to BluEcho's question: how does our prior purchases of Poser Software work? Do I need the SmithMicro Download manager anymore? Is there going to be a new 11.59999999.99999 build that changes the name from SmithMicro to Renderosity? If I do a format c: and need to reinstall everything, how will that be handled. Will we finally move from Content Purgatory to the Paradise we were promised all those years ago?

For now things are exactly the same for the end user. You use the download manager as you always have. And you do nothing different with registration as we now have that system in place. support is in place as well. 😄

I am so pleased to hear this. I love Poser, tried Daz Studio, but can't wrap my head around it. I hope in the future Poser will grow out to be as good as it once was, before daz took over.
