Blender F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Nov 24 8:44 pm)
Blender has 100% of what you need to create content in terms of application capability. You can run Blender on a notebook to create content: however, rendering might require a bit more horsepower than what your netbook can provide. You'll need to have a look at the minimum specs required to run Blender.
I do find that the Blender Market has some amazing apps that can significantly make life easier for the content developer. However, the most important thing you will need is knowledge, and YouTube is an amazing resource place for that.

Oops I forgot how to import an object into blender.
Not trying to be insolent but: how to import 3d object into blender ... I would set time of search to the past year to get relevant results, as Blender has changed quite a bit over time, and you don't want information on Blender 2.32 or something. For example, here's one published just this June!
You'll want to get familiar with UV-mapping, too.

I agree with all that RobynsVeil has said and she is very knowledgeable there are multiple tutorials on YouTube to teach Blender but like she suggested look for ones for the most current versions of Blender. Depending on your notebook you will have to see what will run on it efficiently I would recommend not to user anything older than Blender 2.67 again depends on that your notebook can handle. Also you say create content what type of content are you looking to create for? Video games, Poser Daz Studio each one has it owns skill sets that you will have to develop . Learning to Model and UV Mapping I think will be things you should focus on in the start as texturing will depend allot on how well your objects are UV mapped.

What do I need for Blender to create content? I am running Blender on a notebook so I probably should have a real mouse. What addons to Blender is good for uv mapping, texturing and modeling?
