has anyone heard if there are anymore diseases being sent in the mail? im expecting an important item and now im afraid to open it, it is coming from the irs

The time to be extra cautious is if you receive an unexpected envelope, probably hand-written, and you're not familiar with the sender. If you're expecting a package/envelope and it arrives, with the proper return address, postmark, etc. then you're doing good. :)

I'd be afraid to open ANYTHING from the IRS, virus or no... ;-) But, as one local Senator pointed out, the odds of being EXPOSED to the Anthrax virus allegedly circulating the mails now are about the same as those of being the sole winner of a major Lottery jackpot... And only about 1 in 5 people who are exposed actually catch it.

Look at it this way, as someone put it to me: the most likely chance you have of being exposed to anthrax is if you turn on the radio and tune in to your local heavy metal station, where the band of the same name is played.

I heard that if you iron your mail, the heat and moisture kills the anthrax. Hope this helps :)

Personally, I suggest drycleaning. Saves the hassle. ^_^
