Still, I managed to download all 15 Gig onto my flash drive in about an hour. I downloaded everything so your experience may not be the same. After all, I downloaded Harry the Hivewire Horse even though I already had him. I downloaded La Femme even though I had her as well. (Phrasing).

After reading every post I could find, including a horror story by Darkseal, one of my favorite vendors, I said the first line in this thread and installed Poser again. I backed up my pythons just in case, but not necessary. Everything went smooth as silk. Nice job, Bondware. I will still refer to you as our Poser Overlords but nice job. CHOOSE : Keep my existing preferences even preserved my UI and external libraries. Even my D3D scripts still work. My Poser version is 11.2.

So the Upgrade was easy and successful. However, there is a support file. That Poser support file. What does it do? Is it the file that stops my pythons from working?

Okay. Mostly I wanted to report success and tell everyone that worked for a noob noob like me but before I click that file I want to know what it does. I'm funny like that. (American Slang). I'm off to install the tons of content files.

That file has support files for the face room and other plug-ins and such. It is necessary.

The Poser Support Files installer installs Poser documentation, face room support and some other help type stuff, and I'm NOT sure if the Kinect Capture files are in support files or the main installer.

Thanks! I'm still at about 70 percent of unzipping all of the content files at once. My system is pretty fast in this but there is SOOOO MUCH content, it just takes a while. So again, thank you. Poser Support Files doesn't say much about what's in there. I found the face room a bit tough to use but It's better to have it and not need it, then to need it and not have it. Help files of any type is always welcome.

Install both installers (the main one and the support one). Which of the content zips you install is entirely at your discretion, but both installers are essential.

Thanks! I installed the aforementioned support files. I believe I'm pretty much set to go. But there is a lingering question regarding the installation of legacy content. There is no directory for bondware. For native Poser 11 content, I choose the C: drive and the runtime listed in program files. However, it still says Smith Micro. Is that the proper place to put it? I had to redownload the legacy hair file due to zip file corruption. The zip downloaded and installed properly but did I install it in the right place?

I install all Renderosity and other (formerly) third party in it's own runtime. I install all DAZ bought software like Vicky and Mike in another runtime while Miki, Sydney are in that Native Poser runtime. So did I install it properly? That and Poser scripts are the only content I allow on the Master drive.
