Content Advisory! This message contains profanity

Oh, and don't get me started on those swivel eyed motherfuckers who think it's a good idea to take us out of the biggest trading bloc in the world, then leave us with massive import/export problems, shortages and the like, just because they don't like foreigners.

On a purely selfish note, I'm looking at the prospect of my treatment being delayed - or cancelled - because of logistical problems transporting the stuff I need, post Brexit.

I'm in England ( or should I call it little Britain now) and have had no problems installing, so it doesn't seem to be a geographical problem, and I'm sure we wouldn't be let down by our American cousins who are probably preparing food parcels of chlorine washed chicken, hormone injected beef and gmo cereals to send across the Atlantic in a new wave of liberty ships to save us from future starvation. But enough of that before I get the thread locked and us all banned.

We've made some architecture changes on the license-check end-point config. Can you guys give it another go & report results?

Just to be clear, do you mean to try and launch Poser again, with the "11" folder removed from its location?

Yes - relaunching Poser should tell us what we need to know.

SamTherapy ( ) posted Sun, 22 September 2019 at 1:52 PM

Blinking flip. I now have the Product Registration box.

I don't want to assume anything here, only to regret it later. Do I fill in my details as normal, with my serial number from the Smith Micro version of Poser 11?

Also, is there a way of making the "Allow this application to send analytics..." box remain unchecked? It's a pain in the nether regions that it won't stay the way I want.

Yes - fill in the details, especially your Poser 11.1 serial number from Smith Micro & click "OK".

We don't collect/send Analytics anyway. Just haven't had a chance to clean-up that form.

Blimey! That seems to have done the trick. Many thanks, Tim. And, of course, to everyone else who got this fixed.

Just throwing my 2 pence in to the pot - given it a go and I have a fully working version once more.

I can finally stop stressing over this now - thank you so much!

Although... curiousity strangled the moggy and all, but what was causing this? Assuming you can tell us?

I reckon they reversed the polarity of the neutron flow, or something.

I am getting the same Msg when I go to open poser and if I go to download the installer I get a file I cant open I live in Florida USA in eastern time zone poser was working fine this morning installed some content for LeFemme shut down went to restart poser later and get cant connect to server no internet so it has to be your software cause I can go on the internet with no problems so what gives with this mess???

randym77 ( ) posted Mon, 23 September 2019 at 4:01 PM

I wonder if they broke it for some people when they fixed it for Sam, etc.

Sa_raneth, the file you can't open has been reported by others. For some reason it loses the .exe extension. Rename the file so it ends .exe and it should work. (If you have Windows set to not display extensions, you might not even notice.)

Could your firewall or anti-virus software be blocking Poser?

Sa_raneth ( ) posted Mon, 23 September 2019 at 4:10 PM

randym77 ( ) posted Mon, 23 September 2019 at 4:21 PM

A lot of people are having intermittent problems like this today. Hope they get it fixed soon.

Just a comment re the UK connection - I'm on a Mac and connect via Virgin; no problems apart from yesterday's blip with the registration notice.

As stated in this thread: Has your Poser stopped working? License issues? Can't start Poser?, Poser 11 needed an update to work with the new server. You can get that update free at posersoftware.com If you are having trouble after that, contact support for help.

Are the Poser authentication servers down? I was just running Poser earlier this week. Yet I am receiving the dialog window "Unable to contact..." I am in the Inglewood, California. Obviously my internet connection is working, because I am posting this message. I have Poser version 11.3 on my MacbookPro

I'm in New York and I'm not seeing any problems with connectivity here.
