Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Nov 26 1:43 pm)
Thanks, Vita. I just hope my Poser keeps working.
I have been totally crapping my pants over this because I am currently in the middle of my biggest Poser project ever and I did not know how much time I had to do this update. So I figured I better do it now. Now I just gotta' get all these libraries back.
According to what I was told, the Zero Days thing is because you entered the serial number incorrectly.

Your poser serial number file is kept in a different location on your computer depending on what operating system you are on? Are you using a mac or windows?
For windows that is under C:Windows:ProgramData:Poser:11 and in there you should see 3 files. Poser.dta and Poser Activation.dta and PoserReg.dta If you have your full serial number you can safely delete those files and then when Poser opens again you can put in the serial/registration key and register as usual. It may be a case of not putting a space in the front of the serial number or after.
Don't look at the About Poser for your SN, look at registration, that will contain the full SN. Poser 11.2 will uninstall any previous version you have. I have done it several times as an early-adopter and each time I had no issues. If your runtimes did not appear after installation, you may have not selected keep preferences which retain all the settings you manually established. There is also a script in Poser that searches and imports all runtimes on your drive.
My problem with an incorrect serial number was that the new version somehow grabbed the number from my copy of Poser Pro 2012. I didn't check to see if it was valid for Poser 11 - it isn't, I know now - and just hit OK. That's when the fun began.
Deleting the "11" folder didn't help by itself but some of the tech guys apparently made some changes on their side, which allowed the new installation to work.

Happy to hear your issue has been resolved, Sam. And thank you very much for the responses and information!
And just a happy update of my own ....
Though I did not do anything to try to rectify the Serial Number issue, Poser 11 is no longer presenting me the Registration notification upon opening. Phew! I don't know how that all worked out, but it is definitely a happy development right now.
Also, I went about manually re-installing all my libraries and now have them all installed. I did it this way because I wanted to make sure my library remained organized as best suits my projects.
And, most happily, my "biggest" Poser project ever, which is a set I constructed myself which includes HUNDREDS of go-to poses for Vicky, is opening and rendering with no problem.
Thank you very much, everyone, for your assistance and input!!!

That's every time I try to open Poser 11. The Product Registration Notice appears and I have to press okay. That's no big deal. But is this normal? Because it also says I have ZERO Free Trial Days left.
It also says that my previous Serial Number is not required. So I figure that that is good.
I don't know if this is the same thing that happened to somebody else on a different message so I started a new one.
Also, all my Libraries disappeared. Have to manually put them back one by one by one by one by one like twenty bazillion freakin' times. But I can deal with that as long as my Poser keeps working depending upon whether this Product Registration Notification is a normal thing.
Information please? Thanks.
